Fortnite just pushed a new update out on all platforms

A new Fortnite update has been released today (February 24, 2021) for PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC players.

This new update follows on from a small hotfix pushed out on Tuesday for Android players.

According to the team at Epic Games, the Tuesday maintenance update on Android was intended to address the issue preventing players from purchasing the same amount of V-Bucks through the Samsung Store twice in a row.

However, this same update also rolled out another fix for the game, specifically aimed at providing a fix for the "Failed to query for Tournament Rules" error that players had been experiencing.

Up until today, this was only fixed on Android, however, today's new update should have pushed the same fix to all remaining platforms.

Away from the updates, it looks as though a new portal has gone live in the game earlier today and it's teasing a pretty incredible new hunter.

Based on what's been leaked so far, it would seem as though the next hunter to join the game will probably be the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise.

There are only 20 days remaining of the current Fortnite season before Season 6 begins. So quite where this storyline is headed before the annual end of season event, we have no idea; but it's incredibly intriguing!
