LATEST - Details on the final tournament

Much like the Trios Cash Cup, the Trios Hype Cup takes place on a Monday - however, it's just at a slightly earlier time. If you want to participate in the next Trios Hype Cup, you'll need to keep yourself free on November 29th at the following times:

  • 09:00 PST

  • 17:00 BST

You don't need to do anything special to enter, all you need to do is join the playlist when it's active - which is from the time specified above.

The Hype Cup is a must-participate event for anyone looking to take part in Cash Cup tournaments, though. You earn Arena Hype for competing and this is what you need to raise your Arena rank - You have to be in the Champions League to even qualify for a Cash Cup! Fortnite has shared a few of the minor rule changes below - although, this should operate similarly to other tournaments...

Trios Hype Cup Schedule

The Fortnite Trios Hype Cup will predominantly take place on Mondays but the first event will take place on a Tuesday. Dates are subject to change should any server issues prevent a tournament from taking place.

Hype Cup prizes are based on the size of the field and where you finish

Rather than a simple ranking system, prizes are handed out depending on where you finish in comparison to the size of the overall competition. If you finish in the Top 1% of players you will earn 2,250 Hype. By finishing in the top 50% you can earn 600 which is nothing to sniff at!

To enter the tournament, simply join the playlist when it's active. You'll need to have 2-Factor Authentication enabled and your account must be at least level 30 (this can be checked in the Career tab).
