Ahead of an official announcement, it looks like a new Console Champions Cup is coming to Fortnite this week. This is all about pushing console players to their limits and there's a $250,000 prize pool to be won. Here's everything you need to know...
When Does The Next Console Champions Cup Start?
Epic Games hasn't revealed anything officially yet, but if you check out their rules for the Console Champions Cup, there are some new changes that suggest that it's coming very soon.
The new Console Champions Cup should start on July 22nd and run until July 25th. You can check it out from the source, below:
- 2.2.1 July 22: Round 1 [Middle East]
- 2.2.2 July 23: Round 1 [All Regions Except Middle East]
- 2.2.3 July 23: Round 2 and Round 3 [Middle East]
- 2.2.4 July 24: Round 4 [Middle East]
- 2.2.5 July 24: Round 2 and Round 3 [All Regions Except Middle East]
- 2.2.6 July 25: Round 4 [All Regions Except Middle East]
With this in mind, we should see an announcement from Fortnite's social media channels later today.
How To Participate In The New Cup
This looks like it's going to be another Trios tournament and that means you're going to need to find another two players to team up with for the event. All members of your chosen Trio will need to be in the Champions League in Arenas Mode.
In addition to this, you're going to need to have Two-Factor Authentification (2FA) enabled and an account that's over level 30. At this stage of the game, this shouldn't be too hard.
After you've done this, you should be able to sign up online or through an in-game option when it goes live. We'll keep you updated on that.
Scoring Format Per Round
As always, there's going to be four rounds and your position is dictated purely on your Eliminations. There's no point hiding in a bush for this one! Here's what you need to know.

- 2nd: 20 Points
- 3rd: 16 Points
- 4th: 14 Points
- 5th: 13 Points
- 6th: 12 Points
- 7th: 11 Points

- 12th: 6 Points
