The 2022/23 Premier League season is entering its 21st round of fixtures and things are really hotting up in Fantasy now.

This weekend will see Liverpool take on Chelsea in a vital top-four clash, whilst Arsenal and Manchester United will battle it out at the top of the table.

So, we're providing you with the best players to target for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 21.

Please note, the GW21 Deadline is on Saturday, 21 January at 6am ET / 11am GMT.

GW21 fixtures

The Premier League's next round of fixtures is as follows:

Saturday, 21 January

Liverpool v Chelsea

Bournemouth v Nott'm Forest

Leicester v Brighton

Southampton v Aston Villa

West Ham v Everton

Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Sunday, 22 January

Leeds v Brentford

Man City v Wolves

Arsenal v Man Utd

Monday, 23 January

Fulham v Spurs

Forwards

The Premier League's top scorer Erling Haaland (£12.2m) is our standout captaincy pick for this weekend.

Despite failing to score against Chelsea and Manchester United, a GW21 home fixture v Wolves could see the Norwegian striker haul once again.

Brighton youngster Evan Ferguson (£4.5m) provides a budget option upfront, having produced 21 points over the course of the last three gameweeks.

Though his minutes are not guaranteed, at £4.5m and with the Seagull's favourable fixture run, it may be hard to turn down the Irish teenager.

Ivan Toney (£7.5m) returned from injury with a bang as he netted a goal and picked up three bonus points against Bournemouth last time out.

Brentford will travel to Elland Road in GW21 to face a Leeds side that has conceded two goals in consecutive Premier League matches.

Midfielders

Kaoru Mitoma (£5.0m) looks to be the ultimate differential in Fantasy at the moment.

Playing on the left wing for an attacking Brighton side and priced at just £5.0m in Fantasy, Mitoma provides incredible value.

The budget midfielder has started in all four of the Seagull's last matches, playing 90 minutes on three occasions, scoring two goals and registering one assist, amassing 23 points in that time.

Arsenal club captain Martin Odegaard (£6.8m) is slowly but surely becoming a must-have in Fantasy.

The Gunners skipper has blanked just twice in the past ten gameweeks, producing four double-digit hauls in that time.

Now FPL's top points-scoring midfielders, could Odegaard continue his run of form against Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday?

Defenders

Newcastle's upcoming fixture against struggling Crystal Palace makes their defenders prime targets for GW21.

Of course, Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is a must-have, but how about a Magpies defensive double-up? Both Dan Burn (£4.5m) and Sven Botman (£4.5m) provide great budget options.

Patrick Vieira's side has now failed to score in each of their last two outings and come up against the best defence in the league this season.

Two clean sheets on the bounce for Arsenal make right-back Ben White (£4.7m) a solid option going forward.

The Gunners face Manchester United in GW21, before travelling to Everton ahead of their Double Gameweek 23 fixtures against Brentford and Manchester City.
