FPL GW23: Double Gameweek CONFIRMED for Watford with another potentially on the way

It's official, a double gameweek is on its way in GW23!

So, check out all the details on Double GW23 right here, along with the best FPL assets to target for the upcoming weekend of Premier League football.

Double GW23 Confirmed!

The official Fantasy Premier League Twitter account has revealed that Watford has a double gameweek in GW23!

Burnley v Watford has just been added to the GW23 fixture list, meaning Watford have the following matches in GW23:

  • Watford v Norwich
  • Burnley v Watford

This could be the most enticing double gameweek of the season, with Watford facing 18th place Norwich and bottom of the table Burnley.

Watford assets to target

When it comes to Watford assets to target for Double GW23, there are a few that really stand out as great options.

The star pairing up front, Emmanuel Dennis (£6.1m) and Joshua King (£5.8m) are the main attractions, of course.

The Nigerian forward, Dennis has outscored his strike partner by 94 points to 65 overall in FPL so far this season.

However, Josh King is on penalty duty, so, should the Hornets secure a kick from the spot you can bet your bottom dollar that King will dispatch it.

If you already own one of these strikers then a captaincy choice is made easy for you, however, if you are doubling down and bringing in both for Double GW23 then it's a bit of a lottery!

Ben Foster (£4.1m), who is owned by 18% of FPL managers, is also worth starting in net for Double GW23 after he started in goal v Newcastle upon his return from injury.
