We're now getting to the business end of the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

With double and blank gameweeks coming thick and fast, you'll need budget assets within your squad that can offer value as rotational players.

Well, we've found the perfect budget defender for your team. Owned by just 1.8% of FPL managers, Wolves' Max Kilman (£4.3m) is a great option for the next ten gameweeks in Fantasy.

In this article, we will be breaking down Kilman as an FPL asset based on his form, fixtures and opponents for Gameweek 23 and beyond.

Since the appointment of Julen Lopetegui, Wolves have improved leaps and bounds in all areas of the pitch.

The team is full of confidence off the back of a 3-0 win against Liverpool.

Wolves' previous five PL results are as follows:

  • GW22 - Wolves 3-0 Liverpool
  • GW21 - Man City 3-0 Wolves
  • GW20 - Wolves 1-0 West Ham
  • GW19 - Aston Villa 1-1 Wolves
  • GW18 - Wolves 0-1 Man United

As you can see, Wolves have kept two clean sheets in their last three outings, conceding only to Manchester City.

Kilman has played the full 90 minutes in every single one of their PL matches this season.

The 25-year-old has picked up 20 points over the course of the past three gameweeks, registering two clean sheets, one assist and five bonus points in that time.

As with any budget defender in Fantasy, Kilman can be seen as a rotation player which means we should be looking at Wolves' long-term fixtures.

Wolverhampton Wanderers' next 10 PL fixtures are as follows:

  • Southampton (A)
  • Bournemouth (H)
  • Fulham (A)
  • Tottenham (H)
  • Newcastle (A)
  • Leeds (H)
  • Nottingham Forest (A)
  • Chelsea (H)
  • Brentford (H)
  • Leicester (A)

Let's take a more in-depth look at Wolves' upcoming opponents.

GW23 - Sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table, Southampton have lost their last two matches, failing to score on both occasions.

GW24 - Newly promoted Bournemouth have lost five of their past six PL matches, scoring just one goal in that time.

GW25 - Fulham have failed to score in their last three PL matches.

GW26 - Spurs' inconsistency makes Kilman a starting option for GW26.

GW27 - Newcastle at St. James' Park will be a tough test for Wolves.

GW28 - Leeds have netted just one goal in their past three league games.

GW29 - Forest have been impressive of late but Wolves will hope to pick up three points at the City Ground.

GW30 - Like Leeds, Chelsea have scored just one goal over the course of their last three PL games.

GW31 - Brentford have been impressive throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

GW32 - The return of talesman James Maddison makes Leicester a more frightening prospect.
