After a few weeks of build-up, Genshin Impact Update 1.02, it has finally landed!
On PS4 the update is listed as the Genshin Impact 1.02 update, but it is the same update.

Genshin Impact Update 1.02 launched at on Wednesday, 11 November.
It looks to have done so at around 3am GMT (10pm ET on 10 November).
The Genshin Impact 1.1 update will add compatibility for the upcoming Playstation 5 console.
Genshin Impact will continue to run using the PS4 version of the game, this is to make it easier to release rather than having to create a separate build for the new console.
On launch day, November 12th-19th depending on region, players will be able to download and jump into Genshin Impact on their brand new system.
miHoYo have confirmed that the PS5 version will offer better graphics and faster loading times.
New Additions To The Game
The Genshin Impact 1.02/1.1 update added a lot of new content to the game.
From new characters, weapons, and quests.
The new characters added are:
- Childe - 5-Star Hydro
- Diano - 4-Star Cryo
- Zhongli - 5-Star Geo
- Xinyan - 4-Star
The new weapons are;
- Memory of Dust - 5-Star Caltalyst
- Vortex Vanquisher - 5-Star Polearm
- The Unforged - 5-Star Claymore
- Royal Spear - 4-Star Polearm
There are a lot of new quests and events added in the game, but check out our patch notes guide for a detailed breakdown.
A new event called "Unreconciled Stars" will run from November 16th to November 30th.
During the event, complete designated quests and "Star of Destiny" challenges to obtain Fading Star's Might and Fading Star's Essence.
Players can exchange Fading Star's Might and Fading Star's Essence in the Event Shop for Character Ascension Materials, Hero's Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Talent Enhancement Materials, Crown of Insight, and other rewards!
Complete "Prinzessin's Pact" to get "Prinzessin der Verurteilung!" Fischl (Electro).
Other Changes and Fixes
- Anemoculus Sync Stone, Geoculus Sync Stone.
- Geo and Anemo Finder Compass.
- Wind capturing bottle.
- Pocket Teleport Anchor.
- Type 30 Portable Nutrient Bag.
- New Dungeon called Golden House.
A Nintendo Switch port of the game was expected to launch in September when Genshin Impact came out of beta.
Unfortunately this version was delayed and so far there has been no official release date set.
It is expected to be announced some time after the Genshin Impact 1.1 update with the beta beginning in early 2021 and a expected full release in mid-late 2021.
