Genshin Impact 2.1 Livestream Updates LIVE!

Genshin Impact 2.0 is underway and, with Genshin Impact 2.1 expect to come out soon, there's a lot of speculation as to what we will see.

miHoYo runs a live stream to dispel some of this speculation and it goes live soon.

• 9 a.m. - Emoji only chat for the stream. Tons of Genshin emoji to choose from! Stream has not actually started yet.
• 9:08 a.m. - No stream yet. The emoji in the chat are starting to signal despair.
• 9:15 a.m. - The stream seems to be running elsewhere in Chinese. Seems miHoYo is having issues with Twitch.
• 9:15 a.m. - miHoYo has announced that due to technical issues the English stream will not start until 9:30 a.m. EST.

• 9:23 a.m. - Chapter 2, Act 3 will be the last Act of Chapter 2
• 9:30 a.m. - La Signora confirmed as a new Trounce Domain. She will be a Cryo/Pyro boss. Thunder Manifestation and Hydro Hypostasis confirmed.
• 9:30 a.m. - English stream should be starting shortly.
• 9:30 a.m. - Baal, Kokomi, and Sara confirmed. Don't know the order since I can't speak Chinese :)

• 9:35 a.m. - Chinese stream is going over the new Fishing mechanics now. Previously they revealed the new Inazuma islands coming to 2.1.
• 9.35 a.m. - Scaramouche is also confirmed to play a part in Chapter 2, Act 3. More info to come once the English stream starts working.
• 9:40 a.m. - Players can start a fish pond in their Serenitea Pot
• 9:40 a.m. - Looks like another Expedition Event is on the way, where players send teams of characters to handle rated challenges.
• 9:40 a.m. - A Liyue festival event will happen, featuring Keqing and Xiangling.
• 9:45 a.m. - Genshin Impact concert series announced. The concert will be online to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Genshin Impact.
• 9:50 a.m. - Was able to confirm that Baal and Kujou Sara's Banner will run at 2.1 release. Kokomi will launch three weeks later.
• 9:56 a.m. - Still no English stream. Genshin Impact 2.1 is titled Floating World Under the Moonlight.
• 9:57 a.m. - Chinese Livestream is going over Aloy and her character details.

Genshin Impact 2.1 Livestream Date

The Genshin Impact 2.1 Livestream will take place on August 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. EST / 2 p.m. BST.

Where Will It Stream?

miHoYo made a major change by switching their Livestreams to Twitch, and the Genshin Impact 2.1 Special Announcement Program will follow this trend. For those who miss the Livestream, the VOD will be available on YouTube shortly after the stream concludes.

The Livestream will be broadcast in Chinese with subtitles.

What to Expect

While there have been no official announcements yet, leaks indicate players will see new characters, new locations, new bosses, new features, and new items in Genshin Impact 2.1

Genshin Impact 1 Year Anniversary Information

Genshin Impact fans can expect news on how miHoYo will be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Genshin Impact in-game.

Rumors of a daily login event are circulating, offering players multiple Acquaint and Intertwined Fates, as well as more celebration goodies.

New Characters

It looks as if the following characters will be arriving in Genshin Impact 2.1

• Raiden Shogun (Baal): 5-Star Electro Polearm
• Kokomi: 5-Star Hydro Catalyst
• Kujou Sara: 4-Star Electro Bow
• Aloy: 5-Star Cryo Bow

New Locations

miHoYo will expand Inazuma in Genshin Impact 2.1 by adding Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island to the west and south of the currently available islands released in Genshin Impact 2.0.

New Bosses

It looks like La Signora, a Hydro Hypostasis, and a new Electro boss will arrive in Genshin Impact 2.1.

New Features

One of the biggest features expected in the Genshin Impact 2.1 update is the ability to fish, with over 20 types rumored to launch with the new feature.

New Items

New harvestable items used to ascend the new characters will be available to collect and new weapons, including a 5-Star Naginata for Baal and a giant fish Claymore.
