Genshin Impact 2.1 Patch Notes

Genshin Impact 2.1 is only days away and miHoYo has posted up the official Patch Notes for the latest update.

There is a lot of new content on the way, including three new characters, several bosses, and even two new islands of Inazuma.

Here are the full details:

Genshin 2.1 Update Schedule

Server maintenance for Genshin Impact 2.1 will begin on September 1, 2021, at 6:00 Server Time and is estimated to take five hours.

Players who are above AR 5 will receive 300 Primogems for the downtime.

Here are the major Genshin Impact 2.1 Patch Notes:

Addition of Seirai Island and Watatsumi Island

To access the two new islands of Inazuma, players must:

• Reach Adventure Rank 30 or above
• Complete the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia"

New Domains

• Trounce Domain - Narukami Island: Tenshukaku
  This is the dwelling of the Raiden Shogun.
  • Unlock Criteria:
    • Reach Adventure Rank 35 or above and complete the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals"
• Domain: Palace in a Pool
  They say that long ago, seawater had yet to fill this pool. The moonlight was brighter back then, and it filled the pool instead, flowing freely like quicksilver.
  • Unlock Criteria:
    • Reach Adventure Rank 38 or above
    • Complete the initial Domain Challenge

Fishing

Players will be able to obtain several different Fishing Rods and fish at designated locations in order to catch over 20 types of fish.

A new pin type has been added to the map so players can easily keep track of Fishing locations.

Players must unlock the Serenitea Pot system and complete the "Exploding Population" in order to unlock fishing.

• 5-Star Character "Plane of Euthymia" Raiden Shogun (Electro)
  • Gnosis: Electro

  • Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, promised the people of Inazuma an unchanging eternity.
    
• 4-Star Character "Crowfeather Kaburaya" Kujou Sara (Electro)
  • Vision: Electro

  • A general of the Tenryou Commission. Bold, decisive, and skilled in battle.|
    
• 5-Star Character "Pearl of Wisdom" Sangonomiya Kokomi (Hydro)
  • Vision: Hydro
  • Weapon: Catalyst
  • The Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. All of the island's affairs are at this young lady's fingertips.
    
• 5-Star Character "Savior From Another World" Aloy (Cryo)
  • Vision: Cryo
  • Weapon: Bow
  • Formerly an outcast, now a hunter of unparalleled skill. Ready to do the right thing at any time.

How to Obtain Aloy

Genshin Impact players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above and log into Genshin Impact on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5will be able to obtain the event-exclusive 5-star character "Savior From Another World" Aloy (Cryo) directly through in-game mail.

All other players will be able to obtain Aloy in Genshin Impact 2.2.
