Before we figure out how to preload the next update, it's worth pointing out when it arrives. Luckily, we should see it go live on July 21st.
This leaves just a few days until you can play it for yourself. Now, here's how to preload.
How To Preload Genshin Impact 2.0 on PC
To preload the next update on PC, you simply have to boot up the launcher and the "Game Pre-Installation" option should pop up.
Just click on it and it should download everything you need. You may still need to do a small update and configuration on the day but preinstalling everything should slow down some of that download time.
How To Preload Genshin Impact 2.0 on Mobile
To do this effectively, log in with your account and go into the "Paimon Menu". From here go to settings, then other, then click on the "Pre-Install Resource Package" option in the settings.
Alternatively, after you've logged in, you may spot a "Pre-Install Resource Package" on the page that will allow you to preload the game
Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to preinstall on consoles just yet. Hopefully, in the future, we can see this option but there's none as of right now. RealSport will have all the latest information and guides on launch day
