miHoYo Announces What's Next for Genshin Impact 2.1's New Features

The details for Genshin Impact 2.1 are out, and one of the main new features coming to the game is the ability for players to fish.

Fish will be used for cooking, of course, but will also be used for decoration inside players' Serenitea Pot!

Genshin Impact 2.1 Fishing

Once Genshin Impact 2.1 releases, players will be able to obtain unique fishing rods from Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma.

They will also be able to craft bait at Alchemy Tables.

Once both items are in hand, there will be special fishing spots where players may try to catch over 20 varieties of fish.

Players may exchange fish for rewards and new fishing rods from the Fishing Association, and may also catch Ornamental Fish which are used in the Pool of Sapphire Grace, a new item for the Serenitea Pot.

Fish inside the Pool of Sapphire Grace may be raised to enhance their beauty.

Genshin Impact 2.1 Lunar Realm Event

With the arrival of fishing, there will be a new event revolving around the new feature.

Completing the event will reward players with a new fishing rod, the Moonstringer, which should make future fishing easier.

Players will also be able to earn Primogems, Mora, Sanctifying Unction, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Hero's Wit, and Mysterious Fish Furnishing.
