Genshin Impact 2.6 Leaks: Yelan Appearance and Element REVEALED

During the Genshin Impact 2.6 beta, data miners received a big surprise when they found out the first details of Yelan, a future 5-star character.

Information about Yelan was very scarce, as her skeleton code name and gender in leak data were the only confirmed details we've had for some time.

The newest set of Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks however confirm much more about Yelan, and what the character will look like as well as her element!

With that, let's dive right into what we've learned about Yelan.

Yelan Release Date

Considering miHoYo has released only one 5-star new character lately, and Kamisato Ayato is set to debut in Genshin Impact 2.6, Yelan will most likely arrive during Genshin Impact 2.7 on May 11, 2022.

Who is Yelan?

Yelan seems to be a Liyue inhabitant. If Yelan is released during Genshin Impact 2.7, her origin will likely be related to the Chasm, the game's upcoming new region.

Here's what we know about Yelan so far:

• Yelan is a 5-star character that carries a Hydro Vision, the second character in a row released from the same element after Kamisato Ayato.
• There was confusion about her weapon. The theory about Yelan carrying a new weapon type: the Crossbow, was debunked, consider error in the translation from the Chinese leak.
• As we can see in the leaked image, Yelan uses the Kirin Bow, an upcoming weapon in Genshin Impact, which confirms Yelan is Bow User.
• There is a belief that Yelan is an adepti. However, based on the modern outfit and hairstyle, we can speculate she is not an ancient creature.
• The Kirin Bow is her signature weapon, as the color pattern of Yelan and the Weapon are identical.

What is interesting is the distinctive combination of two different color patterns in her design. One arm is dark blue while the other is white. So, perhaps, Yelan has two different attack modes.

However, the only characters we know with two distinctive elemental attacks are the Fatui (Childe and La Signora). We can also see that Yelan wears a thick coat, usually suitable for cold weather.

These details likely indicate that Yelan is from Snezhnaya, the land of the Cryo Archon, is she a new Harbinger?
