Genshin Impact 2.7 update is finally here, and the long-awaited new update will bring a continuation to the adventures of the traveler in The Chasm after many delays along the way.
This time around, the traveler will be in the company of familiar faces. This includes two new characters, Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Time & Date
Genshin Impact 2.7 will go live on May 31, 2022, at 11 am server time (Chinese Standard Time).
This breaks down to the following release times:
- May 30, 2022, 8 pm PST
- May 30, 2022, 11 pm EST
- May 30, 2022, 4 am GMT

Server Downtime & Maintenance Schedule
Genshin Impact 2.7 Maintenance begins at 6am Server Time on May 31, 2022.
The server's maintenance is estimated to take around five hours, with players being compensated 300 Primogems for the downtime.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Banners
The Genshin Impact 2.7 Banners will break down into two phases, each with its own great new drops to look forward to.
First Phase
The first phase will feature two 5-star characters. Yelan a new hydro character and the Anemo Yaksha Xiao.
- Discerner of Enigmas will feature the new character Yelan - a 5-star Hydro Bow Character.
- Invitation to Mundane Life will feature the second rerun of Xiao - a 5-star Polearm Bow Character.
Both Banners will share the following 4-star characters:
- Yanfei - 4-star Pyro, Catalyst User
- Barbara - 4-star Hydro, Catalyst User
- Noelle - 4-star Geo, Claymore User.
Weapon Banner
The first weapon banner will feature one polearm and the new 5-star bow.
- Aqua Simulacra 5-star bow, the signature weapon of Yelan.
- Primordial Jade Winged-Spear 5-star polearm is good for most characters using this weapon type.
The following 4-stars weapons complete the banner:
- Sacrificial Bow - Bow
- Sacrificial Sword - Sword
- Favonius Greatsword - Claymore
- Eye of Perception - Catalyst
- Lithic Spear - Polearm
Second Phase
For the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.7, we will receive only one rerun, Arataki Itto. The banner Oni's Royale will introduce the new 4-star character Kuki Shinobu.
The Second Weapon Banner will feature the
Redhorn Stonethresher 5-star claymore, the signature weapon for Itto.
What Else is New in Genshin Impact 2.7?
New Weapons and Artifacts
- Besides the 5-star Bow, Aqua Simulacra. Players will have the chance to earn the 4-star weapon Fading Twilight for free.
- There are no new artifacts in this new update.
New Events
These are the new events and reruns coming to Genshin Impact 2.5
- Two New Story Quest:
- Yelan Story Quest: Umbralis Orchis
- New Interlude Archon Story: Perilous Trail
- Main Event: Perilous Trail
- Story based quest interconnected with the Archon Story
- Combat challenge with Trial Characters
- Fading Twilight will be the Free Weapon during this event. Including its refinement materials.
- The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival
- Music-related event that Arataki Itto is organizing as celebration for Kuki Graduation from Law School.
- In this music event, Hoyoverse will introduce Calibrating Option and PVP friendly competition.
- Core of the Apparatus
- A toy maker from Fontaine will provide the traveler with a Collector Material device to create robot toys.
- Travelers can create a max of 4 different types of robots, and exchange with friends to obtain all the varieties.
- A Muddy Bizarre Adventure
- With help of the Sumeru Scholar Hosseini, players will try to solve the problems caused by a Purple, Dangerous Mud growing in The Chasm.
