The return of Kazuha and Klee in Genshin Impact 2.8 is confirmed, and the Pyro character and the Wanderer Samurai will kick off the next update with two exciting banners.
Coincidentally, Kazuha and Klee were also available in banners during the first Golden Apple Archipelago visit. Now that the traveler and friends are returning, it's the perfect time for their return as well in the first banners of Genshin Impact 2.8
Genshin Impact 2.8 Banner Release Date
The first phase of Genshin Impact 2.8 will go live on July 13, 2022, and these are the first two character banners:
- Leaves in the Wind will feature Kazuha - a 5-star Anemo Sword Character.
- Sparkling Steps will feature the rerun of Klee – a 5-star Pyro Catalyst Character.
Both Banners will share the following 4-star characters:
- Heizou - 4-star Anemo, Catalyst User
- Ningguang - 4-star Geo, Catalyst User
- Thoma - 4-star Pyro, Polearm User

First Weapon Banner
Along with the reveal of Kazuha and Klee's reruns announcement, we also learned which weapons will be featured in the first Epitome Invocation in Genshin Impact 2.8.
The first weapon banner will feature the 5-star Catalyst Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, a good weapon for DPS catalyst characters like Klee.
Freedom Sworn is the second 5-star weapon of the Banner, a strong sword for characters that creates elemental reactions.
These 4-star weapons complete the lineup for the first weapon banners of :
- Favonius Lance - Polearm
- The Widsith - Catalyst
- Rainslasher - Claymore
- Alley Flash - Sword
- Mitternachts Waltz - Bow
More Banners in Genshin Impact 2.8
The third and last character banner, arriving on August 3, 2022, will have the rerun of Yoimiya. We are reportedly receiving just one rerun banner at this time.
That banner is Tapestry of Golden Flames, which will feature the rerun of Yoimiya - a 5-star Pyro Bow character.
The 4-star characters that will join Yoimiya are yet to be revealed, we believe we can see Xinyan return, considering she is part of the main event.
Second Weapon Banner
The second weapon banner will feature the rerun of the 5-star bow, Thundering Pulse, and the 5-star polearm Skyward Spine.
