Genshin Impact 3.4 Beta - Start Date, Predictions, & How to Sign Up

Before releasing a significant update, Genshin Impact tests upcoming content in a Beta version that runs alongside the first phase of every new update.

Players from around the world are invited to try new characters, new events, and new regions before anyone else.

With that, applications will be open soon for those interested in being part of the Genshin Impact 3.4 beta. So here's how to sign up for the beta and what to expect from Version 3.4.

Genshin Impact 3.4 Beta Release Date

The Genshin Impact 3.4 Beta is expected to go live on December 7, 2022, just one day after Genshin Impact 3.3 update.

This beta lasts around two weeks, giving players plenty of chances to test out upcoming features. After that, its length depends on the state of the content and any needed updates.

How to Sign Up for the Genshin Impact 3.4 Beta

If you wish to sign up for the Genshin Impact 3.4 beta, here's how to do it:

• First, be a member of the Genshin Impact Official Discord server.
  • Tavern membership does not qualify in this case.
• Next, select the Announcements tab and click on the beta form.
• Fill out the form with all your in-game UID and Discord info.
• Travelers must be OVER the age of 18 when the application is submitted.
  • Players below 18 are not allowed to take part in the beta tests.
• In addition, you MUST have a valid government-issued ID that is unexpired, including one of:
  • Provincial/state/country IDs
  • Driver's License
  • Passport

What to Expect from the Ver. 3.4 Beta

Players in the Beta will be experiencing content very far from being released. Genshin Impact 3.4 will go live in the first weeks of January 2023.

Is a New Region Coming?

Sumeru's second expansion took place in version 3.1 with the introduction of the Desert and the red King Mausoleum.

With the timing, we could see the Dendro Nation continue to expand during the upcoming updates, but nothing has been revealed just yet.

New Characters

Some data miners have speculated that Alhaitham will be the first 5-star character next year. He is reportedly a 5-star Dendro Sword character.

Additionally, it seems Yao Yao, the little girl whose name has been circulating in the community since before the release of Inazuma, is finally debuting in version 3.4. Still, we don't have more details about her, or any official confirmations yet.

Lantern Rite Celebration

Genshin Impact 3.4 will be the Lantern Rite patch that celebrates the Chinese New Year, so we can expect some big surprises in the form of Primogems and a Free Character.

For the previous two celebrations, players were given a chance to choose from one of the 4-star characters from Liyue to obtain for free, so perhaps another region will be next.
