The Genshin Impact Version 4.5 update, titled "Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade" has arrived! This highly anticipated update will introduce Chiori, the striking owner of Choriya Boutique, as a playable character, and transport players back to Mondstadt for its flagship event.

Genshin Impact 4.5 release date
Genshin Impact Version 4.5 was released on 13 March 2024, following the established maintenance schedule for new updates, going live at 3 AM (GMT).
4.5 banners
The firm and decisive fashion designer, Chiori, will make her banner debut in Version 4.5! Chiori is a talented designer from Inazuma who now runs the burgeoning Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine's Quartier Narbonnais.
Genshin players can't wait to pull for Chiori, especially after her first in-game appearance in Version 4.3 during the prestigious Fontinalia Film Festival. She captured the hearts of players with her no-nonsense personality and intriguing background.
Chiori will be the only new 5-star character, setting the stage for exciting rerun banners featuring the intrepid leader of the Arataki Gang, Arataki Itto, the revered Iudex of Fontaine, Neuvillette, and the gentle wandering samurai, Kazuha.
To sum up, here are the Version 4.5 character banners in each phase:

4.5 new weapon
Version 4.5 will introduce a brand-new 5-star Sword called Uraku Misugiri. This Sword is Chiori's signature weapon, and comes with a DEF bonus!
4.5 new banner type: Chronicled Wish
Version 4.5 will introduce a brand-new banner type called Chronicled Wish, featuring 5-star characters that have had at least three character event wishes and have not appeared in any recent banners. Players can chart a specific course for their desired character or weapon, taking a maximum of 1 Fate Point to guarantee your target.
In Version 4.5, players will get the chance to pull for the following 5-star characters in Chronicled Wish:
- Eula
- Mona
- Albedo
- Klee
- Diluc
- Jean
These 5-star weapons will be available on the first Chronicled Wish banner:
- Claymore: Beacon of the Reed Sea, Song of Broken Pines, Wolf's Gravestone, Skyward Blade
- Catalyst: Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, Skyward Atlas
- Swords: Skyward Blade, Aquila Favonius
- Polearm: Skyward Spine
- Bow: Hunter's Path, Skyward Harp

4.5 new Story Quest
In the upcoming update, players will have the chance to learn more about the trailblazing fashion designer, Chiori!

Lynette fans rejoice! Lynette's Hangout Quest will go live in Version 4.5.

Finally returning to the fan-favourite city of freedom, Mondstadt, there will be three exciting events for players to enjoy and collect valuable rewards from in Version 4.5:
Alchemical Ascension
The Knights of Favonius have been conducting alchemy research, and now they're showcasing their results in a potion shop that you'll manage! In this management-style simulation, cultivate herbs, brew potions, and sell your products to increase shop revenue and expand your business. Look forward to meeting familiar faces, and scale your business even faster by fulfilling special customer requests.
Feline Fortress Furrdyssey
Return to the Cat's Tail and care for feline residents in a unique pet-raising simulation disguised as a cat cafe! Cater to the cats' desires by furnishing their homes, fulfilling their needs, and providing their favourite food. Only then can you unlock playtime with your furry friends! After befriending all the cats, you'll encounter a "special friend" waiting for you.
Rolling Crossfire
Take down hordes of slimes using a remote-controlled turret that fires elemental shells. Trigger elemental reactions to maximise your score and obtain more rewards! Special equipment will also appear on the field to aid you.
The Great Fayz Reaction Debate
This combat event utilises "Time Dilation Mode." Time freezes when you stop moving after using a skill, allowing you to accumulate Fayz Force for an advantage. Use this chance to take tons of cool pictures!
On top of that, there will also be a Leyline Overflow event rerun that players can look forward to!
