Genshin Impact 3.4 Livestream and Launch
Let's start with the most significant event for this month, the Genshin Impact 3.4 release, which will go live on January 18, 2022.
According to leaks, the first banners of the year will feature the two new Dendro Characters, Alhaitham & Yao Yao, along with the rerun of Xiao.
We will confirm these banners and more just days after, during Hoyoverse's Genshin Impact Livestream, where they reveal details about the upcoming patch.
Genshin Impact 3.4 Special Program doesn't have a set date yet but based on previous editions, we can anticipate the broadcast to go live around January 6-8.
Genshin Impact Events in January
Although we are looking forward to Genshin Impact 3.4 version's big release, there are still surprises waiting for us in the current 3.3 version.
- Across the Wilderness (January 3)
- The Adventurers' Guild is hosting a special event titled, Across the Wilderness, where travelers must find as many Wilderness Balloons as possible.
- The event will test travelers' parkour abilities in time-limit challenges around Mondstadt Areas.
Chinese New Year
Genshin Impact is a game that takes the beginning of a new Lunar Year very seriously with the celebration of the Lantern Rite Festival.
In the Lantern Rite, players will enter a festivity full of lights and Chinese traditions with mini-games and rewards such as free characters and Primogems.
The event is so well designed that fans wait for the unique cinematics every year; luckily, they don't disappoint.
The Lantern Rite is the main event of Genshin Impact 3.4 and will go live in the first days of the upcoming patch. The New Chinese Year will be on January 22.
Genshin Impact Birthdays (January)
These are the characters that will celebrate another year this month. During their day, Hoyoverse releases unique Artwork on Social Media. Additionally, travelers will receive a special message in their in-game mail with lovely gifts from these characters.

Spiral Abyss and Paimon's Shop Refresh
The beginning of a new month marks the refresh of Genshin Impact Spiral Abyss and the arrival of new items in Paimon's Bargain Shop.
These are the crucial items that will be available in January's Inventory.
- Fischl and Xiangling, two of the strongest characters in the game, are available for 34 Masterless Glitter.
- The Blackcliff Series of Weapons is also available, and we recommend the Catalyst Blackcliff Agate & the sword Blackcliff Longsword.
- In Paimon's Bargain Shop, players can obtain wishes for Standard and other Banners.
Spiral Abyss January Primogems
The last four floors of the Spiral Abyss refresh every 15 days, providing up to 600 Primogems, Artifacts, and tons of Mora for players who take the challenge.
We have two refreshes in January, suitable for 1200 Primogems.
These are the Blessings of the Moon for this month:
- Phase 1 (January)
- After the active character triggers a Swirl reaction, all party members will have their CRIT DMG increased by 20% for 8s.
- Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 1s.
- Phase 2 (January 15)
- The character dealing the same element damage four times will release a 5-meter AOE shockwave.
- A different elemental DMG will reset the counter. Physical damage does not reset the counter.
- Shockwave can only happen once every 4 secs.
