How to fix error code 9203 in Genshin Impact

There's a lot going on in Genshin Impact, so it's understandable that an error, such as error code 9203, would pop up from time to time.

If that error in particular is one that you're struggling with, we've got everything you need to know about how to fix it.

We've got a few options for you to try, with some being exclusive to the PC version of Genshin Impact, so give them a try.

How to Fix Error Code 9203 in Genshin Impact

The first thing that we'd recommend trying is closing the game and restarting whatever system you're playing on.

Most players who encounter it have been playing on PC, but it's possible that you can on other platforms.

Just restart your system, load up the game, and hopefully it'll work. This has fixed the 9203 error code for a lot of players.

Other Possible Fixes

If that didn't work, you'll probably have to go a bit deeper to try and fix it. A few different things have been reported as working by players.

The first option is to try disabling your antivirus. While this might sound dangerous, players on a long Reddit thread about the issue have had some success with doing it.

Another fix, specifically for PC, was outlined by a Reddit user.

They, "quit the game, exited the client, went into cmd as admin and typed 'sc stop mhyprot2 & sc delete mhyprot2' into it.

Then, they restarted the game and were prompted to download 85mb of data, at which point the 9203 error no longer appeared when trying to start the game.

If it persists following an attempt of all three of these potential fixes, it's probably best to contact the developers and ask for help, or delete and reinstall the game entirely.
