Nahida was one of the new Sumeru Characters introduced in the Genshin Impact trailer Prelude to Wisdom.
In the video, Nahida was introduced as a mysterious girl we will meet later in our Sumeru journeys.
But this is not the first time we heard that name. During the first Sumeru Trailer released during the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream, the voice-over credit was attributed to Nahida.
With that, here's everything we know so far about Nahida in Genshin Impact.
Nahida Vision and Weapon
According to leaks, Nahida, the Dendro Archon, will become a playable character in Genshin Impact 3.2. This, however, is far from confirmed.
Reportedly, Nahida is a 5-star Dendro Character that uses a catalyst as a weapon.
Sumeru and Nahida's relation with Dreams
According to the lore, people from Sumeru can't dream. Some even feel proud about it, considering this proof of their devotion to Wisdom and Knowledge.
We also find out that the Akasha System connects Sumeru citizens' minds. The previous Dendro Archon, Rukkhadevata, created the system to exchange wisdom.
Rukkhadevata perishes during the Cataclysm, the same events that destroyed Khaneri'ah, the Traveler's home
Nahida communicated with the Traveler through dreams. Therefore, this little girl is mighty as she can dream and possibly even control other people's dreams.
Nahida is in The Golden Apple Archipelago
The first line in the conversation with the Traveler Nahida mentioned: "The sun makes the sandy beaches here glow like the embers of a pyro Slime, and next to the sparkly water, what a view!"
Let us know that Nahida is in the Traveler's mind while visiting the Golden Apple Archipelago.
The first important hint of Nahida's real identity comes in the following sentence.
Well, maybe I could offer you a bit of Knowledge, and in return, you can tell me your story.
We know Knowledge is a currency in Sumeru. Therefore Nahida can use Knowledge as power.
In the last lines, Nahida says that this exchange can happen until they meet in person, but she knows it will happen very soon. Nahida knows the Traveler is traveling to Sumeru.
In addition, during the Genshin Impact 2.8 Summertime Odyssey, it is implied that the domains in the Golden Apple Archipelago were manifestations of
Kusanali's dreams. Therefore, the events are God-connected Mirages, according to Mona.
Sumeru Statue of the Seven
If we observe the Statue of the Seven in Sumeru, we can see the Dendro Archon depicted as a little girl sleeping.
Some lore from the Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta indicates that the current Archon is more the Lord of Dreams now than the Lord of Knowledge.
The little girl sleeping in the Statue looks very similar to Nahida. Therefore we can speculate that Nahida is the human vessel of Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon.
Nahida is powerful enough to talk with others through dreams, like her conversation with the Traveler.
It probably controls all Sumeru Citizens' ability to dream through the Akasha System.
Nahida's Age
We know the Dendro Archon is only 500 years old, the youngest among the Seven Gods of Teyvat. So this could explain why she is a little girl, compared to Venti, who is 2400 years old, and is represented as a young boy.
Kusanali means "little grass".
For the moment, there are no more details about Nahida or Dendro Archon. Considering how vital Archons are in the game, Hoyoverse keeps details about her pretty secret. As more leaks and official reveals come, however, we'll update with all the latest news.
