When Aloy was announced as a crossover character for Genshin Impact, it's far to say fans were stunned. Not only will she be the first crossover character in the game, but it was soon revealed she will be a five-star free character.

Once fans of Genshin Impact were over the initial shock, one question remained, 'How do we get our hands on Aloy'. Luckily it's easier than you think, but there's some waiting involved if you play on certain platforms.

How to Get Aloy for Free in Genshin Impact - PS4, PS5

You can claim Aloy in Genshin Impact on PS4 and PS5 from the start of update 2.1 through to update 2.2. The dates of these updates mean you can claim Aloy between 1 September and 12 October.

To claim Aloy, you simply need to just log in to the game, no redemption codes or purchases are required. It's nice to have something so amazing be truly free with no catches involved!

There is one requirement that Genshin Impact asks you to meet before claiming Aloy and that is to reach adventure rank 20, which is by no means a grind or difficult. Best to make sure you're there before the event begins though so you can claim Aloy faster!

How to Get Aloy for Free in Genshin Impact - PC, Mobile

It's possible that PC and Mobile Genshin Impact players could create a free PlayStation account to claim Aloy in-game and then take her pack to the PC or Mobile version, but that seems like a lot of hassle and not everyone has access to a PlayStation to do this.

Instead, you can wait for the official release of Aloy on PC and Mobile which comes just after her availability on PlayStation. Aloy will be available between update 2.2 and 2.3.

This means she's available between 13 October and around 24 November. The exact date of the Genshin Impact update 2.3 is not currently known so this is just an estimation.
