When Does Aloy come to Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact 2.1 is finally almost here and that comes with it new events, banners, characters and so much more. miHoYo just went live with their latest live stream and revealed tonnes of information for the future of the game. Luckily, as we saw last month, that future holds Aloy from the Horizon franchise. Here's what we know about Aloy's Genshin Impact release date.

Aloy arrives in Genshin Impact on September 1st, the date we are expecting Update 2.1 to arrive.

You can get her for yourself on PS4 or PS5 on the 1st

How does she work in 2.1?

To unlock Aloy, you need to reach adventure rank 20 during the version 2.1 or 2.2 updates of the game. In return, you get Aloy, a five-star character and her four-star predator bow. Just log in and check your in-game mail.

In Genshin Impact, she has the ability to enhance her attack and she can activate an elemental burst in her power cell ability. She has tonnes more abilities like a freeze bomb, a rushing ice effect and more than you can read right here.

Moving from her, her bow has some unique effect due to being pulled over from a new world. Those affected by cryo damage give Aloy a damage boost.

While the bow can only be earned on PlayStation consoles, it can be played elsewhere with the cross-save function. Unfortunately, its strong strike only applies for those playing on PlayStation, making her most powerful on her home console.

Who knows what this means for the future of the game. We could see more characters crossover like Kratos or, perhaps, Ratchet and Clank. The future is bright for the game and their crossover with Sony is likely on the first.
