Genshin Impact is approaching the year's culmination with the release of the last major update for 2022, Version 3.3, which will go live on December 7th.
In it, Faruzan and Scaramouche (Wanderer) will be the last new characters joining the roster this year, and we will reportedly have the third rerun of Raiden Shogun to raise the stakes.
However, the first prep for the new content in 2023 also starts with the Genshin Impact 3.4 beta, which will begin in December.
With the Genshin Impact update schedule in mind and plenty of variables, here's when we believe the Genshin Impact 3.4 release date will land.
When does Genshin Impact 3.4 come out?
We know for sure that Genshin Impact 3.4 will be the first patch of the game in 2023.
The official release date for the update may differ, however, depending on whether Hoyoverse continues with its recently shortened update schedule or if they will return to the six-week format from before version 2.7's delays this year.
With that, here's what we think the Genshin Impact 3.4 release date might be whether Hoyoverse does or doesn't go back to its previous update schedule.
Genshin Impact 3.4 Release Date Speculation
Shortened Patches (used from version 2.7 onward)
If there are no changes in the pace of the current schedule, Genshin Impact 3.4 should go live on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, thirty-five days after the scheduled beginning of version 3.3.
Original Patch Length (used previous to version 2.7 delays)
Before Hoyoverse was forced to close its headquarters due to COVID-19 restrictions in Shangai, all Genshin Impact patches used to last six weeks.
If they return to this formula in 2023, the Genshin Impact 3.4 update should go live on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 42 days after the release of Genshin Impact 3.3.
We may receive more information about the following year's schedule during the Genshin Impact 3.3 Livestream that is taking place soon, so make sure not to miss it!
