The next update for League of Legends Season 12 is nearly here in LoL 12.17.
This brand-new patch is set to hit live servers this week and although it's not as big as some of its predecessors, it's still bringing some possibly meta-altering changes. These include a round of changes and updates to Maokai, Hecarim, and a shift in the mid-lane with adjustments to various staple champions of mid.
It'll also introduce several new skins and, of course, has its round of balancing and tuning.
That being said, here's what's in store for LoL 12.17 as we count down to its release time.
LATEST - Riot reveals official LoL 12.17 Patch Notes
Riot Games has revealed the official LoL 12.17 patch notes a day before its release.
They include significant updates to Maokai and Hecarim as well as buffs, nerfs, and more to 18 other champions. Additionally, it brings on more balancing to champions in ARAM.

LoL 12.17 Release Time & Date
Adhering to the League of Legends patch schedule, LoL 12.16 is set to release on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
As always, players can expect League of Legends servers to go down for maintenance at 6 am EST before going live with the new update at 9 am EST.
This means that once release time comes all of the new skins, buffs, nerfs, and everything in-between will all be live.

LoL 12.17 Patch Notes Highlights
This update is one of the smaller ones thus far this summer as it doesn't have a massive headlining, possibly game-changing, feature or update. However, it's still set to make some significant changes through small specific updates to various champions, and more.
Here's a small rundown on LoL 12.17 patch notes:
- Maokai and Hecarim Adjustments
- 20 Champions receive buffs, nerfs, or changes
- Specific nerfs to Azir and Ahri, specific buffs to Kassadin and Twisted Fate

LoL 12.17 Skins
Taking part in this LoL 12.17 update are four brand-new skins: a new skin line and a new standalone skin.
The new skin line, dubbed Zenith Games, has Blitzcrank, Lee Sin, and Jayce rock wear apt for a futuristic sports environment both Blitzcrank and Lee Sin can be seen in dark-colored clothing that's topped off with neon accents and hues giving them some pop to contrast. On the other hand, Jayce seems to be the opposite, favoring the lighter-colored clothing while still keeping the colored accents.
On Viego's side, his new skin, King Viego, shows what the Ruined King possibly looked like prior to his corruption.
All of the skins are expected to be priced at 1350 RP.
