The NFL Scouting Combine is a vital event in the path to the Draft. More than 300 prospects will participate in the 2020 Combine in their quest to achieve their NFL dreams.

Kicking off Thursday 26th February 2020, the combine always brings about stars who impress everyone and climb the Draft to an earlier selection.

Along with this, every year EA Sports releases MUT cards that reflect workout warriors from years gone by that smashed the combine. Last year saw a 99 OVR Chris Johnson card that had max speed and acceleration along with a bunch of 97 OVR cards.

So who do we think is primed to get an amazing NFL combine card?

Release date

We expect the NFL Combine promo to drop this Friday, 28 February.

The Combine itself kicked off in Indianapolis on Sunday 23 February, so it makes sense to get the promo up and running now.

Good Morning Madden will have a stream at 10:30am ET/3:30pm GMT previewing the promo, which we expect to drop at 10:30am ET on Friday.

Who will be the Combine Master?

Complete the set to unlock the Combine Master card which is usually a 99 OVR monster like Chris Johnson was last year.

This year could be several options so we have made a case for our Top 3;

John Ross, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

John Ross has struggled to make an impact in the NFL. He has been injury-prone in his three seasons and only managed to play 24 games. That said, he's shown flashes of brilliance and has an incredible rate of one TD for every five catches.

TRACKSTAR: Ross is the fastest player in combine history

But there's one reason he's in contention here. His 4.22-second 40-yard dash. That's an NFL record and Ross is the only man faster than Chris Johnson.

Admittedly Johnson did a lot more in his career, but to be faster than the man was given 99 speed and acceleration is going some.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Unlike John Ross, Jones has made a big impression on the league and is a future Hall-of-Famer. He has some fans before the draft, but at 6'3" and 220lbs Jones did the ultimate thing in confirming that he has speed and agility to go alongside an incredible frame.

STUD: The combine separates the men from the boys

His ability was already on game tape but a 4.34s 40-yard time and impress cone drills showed he has raw physical talent too. What also makes this one of the most impressive combine stories of all time - he did it all with a broken foot that later had surgery.

JJ Watt, DE, Houston Texans

Another future Hall-of-Famer, JJ Watt is the definition of a combine gamble paying off. Watt only played 2 seasons as a DE in College and whilst he did impress, he posted 11.5 sacks. Compare this to Chase Young who heads into the draft with this year with 27 sacks over the same time period.

But JJ Watt moved himself up to being selected 11th overall with an insane combine performance. It doesn't get the attention it deserves because he wasn't the best at one drill, but the completeness for a 6'5" man weighing 290lbs is nothing short of sensational.

4.81s 40-yard dash, 6.88s 3 cone drill, and 37" vertical jump would be impressive for someone 90lbs lighter. With him coming to the end of his career with three Defensive Player of the Year awards and two NFL sack leader awards to his name, it would be a fitting tribute to see a 99 OVR card as part of the NFL Combine series this year.
