Expectation is high for Madden 22 this year, and EA CEO Andrew Wilson has teased us with some news on the potential cover.
The game is expected to see some changes this year and we should get our first look at the game later this month!

Release Date
Madden 22 has no official release date, and we are probably far from it for the time being.
Madden 21 just hit next gen, with a delayed release of the next-gen version of the game.
This along with the usual Madden schedule means we probably won't get an ironed-out release date until around May.
If Madden 22 is on schedule, you can expect an August release date in accordance with previous releases.
New cover
In terms of the new cover for Madden 22, Wilson had this to say;
"We're going to do something a little different with the cover this year.
I won't say any more than that. Other than to say, I'm really proud of the work the team has done--both with the game, with the cover, and with the marketing that we're going to build around Madden."
It seems like EA are certainly confident in their new game!
Cover Athlete
As for the cover athlete, Wilson kept that firmly under wraps... for now.
"Well, we're going to know soon enough. I reviewed it with the team just a few days ago. I can tell you they have more surprises afoot," he said.
Last year saw Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson don the cover, but it looks like that is set to change once more.
