Madden 22: How to get a refund on each platform

Sometimes players are unsatisfied with a game and are looking to get their money back. It's unfortunate but happens with every game that hits the market and Madden 22 is no exception.

These returns can be time-consuming and frustrating, but it's best to take the steps necessary for you to be satisfied.

In an effort to alleviate some of the stress that comes along with returns we've decided to make a guide for you. Here's how you can get a refund for Madden 22 on each console.

How to return and get a refund on Madden 22

Hopefully, you've played the game long enough to decide that you'd like to get your money back. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to do this, depending on how you purchased the game.

If you aren't enjoying the game all you'll have to do is follow this guide and you won't have to worry about a thing.

Physical Copies

If you bought a physical copy, the first thing you'll need to remember is where you purchased the game. Certain physical stores won't offer a cash refund though and will give you store credit as your Madden 22 refund.

Here's what you'll need to do:

• Bring the game (inside the original packaging) to the original store
• Bring your proof of purchase (i.e receipt)
• Take the game and proof of purchase to the cashier.

The receipt will likely have the return policy printed on the back. If you don't have the receipt you can try to return the game but the process could be difficult.

For further physical purchases, a good idea is to tape the receipt to the back of the game case.

Digital Copies

It's more likely that you purchased Madden 22 as a digital copy as it's much more convenient than purchasing a physical copy.

If you did so, returning it is going to depend on which platform you purchased the game on. There are plenty of different ones to choose from so be sure to find the one you used.

EA Desktop or Origin

If you purchased Madden 22 directly from the EA Desktop or Origin, you'll have to follow certain guidelines very specifically.

EA games are eligible for return as long as they fall within the following rules:

• Within 24 hours after you first launch the game.
• Within 14 days from the day you bought it if you have not launched the game.
• Within 14 days from the release date if you pre-ordered the game if you haven't launched it yet.

If you're sure the game falls within these guidelines you can submit a "Refund Request" directly from EA Help.

Here's what you'll do:

• Log in to your EA Account.
• Submit a return request form for Madden 22

Steam

Steam is slightly more simplified than when you purchase a game directly from EA. However, the length of time you've played the game is going to be important to getting your Madden 22 refund.

If you've played the game for under two hours, your refund is nearly guaranteed:

• Open the Steam client and select Madden 22
• Find the more options button (signified by three dots) under the Play button
• Select support and click "It's not what I expected"
• From there you can click "Request a refund"

PlayStation

For both the PS4 and PS5 the return process is the same. Remember though, through the PlayStation Store you can only request a Madden 22 refund until 14 days after your purchase.

You'll have to use the PlayStation Support Bot to get your money back.

What you'll need:

• PlayStation Network Account information
• Select "Return a game or add-on"
• Copy the support ID number

Xbox

Probably the easiest way aside from returning a physical copy is by requesting a refund through the Microsoft Store.

The process is similar to Steam in there are only a couple of steps you'll have to complete to get a refund. It's important to note that if it was a code redeemed or 14 days after purchase, you'll likely not get a refund.

Here's how you can return a game on the Microsoft Store for Xbox:

• Sign in to Microsoft Store and go to Order History
• Click on the order number above the Madden 22 icon
• Choose the "Request a refund" option

Another method is by visiting the Xbox Support page here and inputting the same information with your order number to request a refund.
