Tomorrow, June 1, 2022, is when the Madden 23 cover will be revealed. Within the tweet, we think the Madden 23 cover athlete was revealed.
Right off the bat from the tweet, we see that an old catchphrase by John Madden was used as the caption, "BOOM!".
We don't think that this could be anyone else other than John Madden. We'll be able to see the official Madden 23 cover at 10:00 AM ET on June 1, 2022.
Madden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 5, 2006. His .759 winning percentage during the regular season ranks highest among coaches with 100 career victories
Madden 23 Cover Athlete Reveal Date
The good news about Madden is that we got a good idea of when the Madden 23 cover athlete will be revealed by going off of previous years.
For example, for Madden 22, the cover athletes were revealed on June 17, 2021, a few months before the official release date.
Going off of this information we now know the Madden 23 cover athlete will be revealed on June 1, 2022.
The real question is, who will grace the cover of Madden 23? Could it be another tandem cover?
Potential Madden 23 Cover Athletes
Of course, the Madden 23 cover athlete wasn't decided until well after the NFL season finished, but we tried to make a few predictions.
There are a few players this year that really stand out as being some of the best and are well-deserving of a cover. Let's get started with who we think is most likely to land the cover.
Cooper Kupp - WR - Los Angeles Rams
Cooper Kupp currently leads all wide receivers in receiving yards in the NFL right now and by a rather large margin. He's a favorite of quarterback Matthew Stafford, so his stock will only go up.
By the end of the year, Kupp could easily find himself breaking a couple of receiving records by the end of the year. We believe he'd be a great choice to be the Madden 23 cover athlete.
Jonathan Taylor - RB - Indianapolis Colts
Our other option as the Madden 23 cover athlete is a player that has emerged as one of the NFL's best running backs and a MUT 22 must-have player.
Jonathan Taylor is tied for the most rushing yards in the NFL and with plenty of games left could easily find himself winning the rushing title this season.
Deluxe Edition Madden 23 Cover Athlete
There is guaranteed to be a special edition of Madden 23, just like there was on for Madden 22. Usually, these deluxe or special editions feature a different cover than the rest.
We like to think that this year they'll pick a quarterback that will be a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, that could retire this year.
He's had an incredible career and currently is leading the best team in the NFC. If he decides to retire at the end of the season, he'll make an amazing choice as a Madden 23 Deluxe Edition cover athlete.
New Madden 22 Bo Jackson Cover
If you haven't noticed, there has been a new cover released for Madden 22 that features Bo Jackson. This cover came along with a new event as well.
What this tells us is that special edition covers are likely something that will continue in Madden 23 when it's finally released.
Although it's just a digital cover, we could see this happen in the future with more digital covers released for Madden 22 and Madden 23.
