Madden 23 Early Access COUNTDOWN: Release Time & Date

We're just a few short days away from the arrival of Madden 23 Early Access, but that also means there's still time to make sure you can enjoy it.

The only way to score Early Access for Madden 23 this year is by placing your pre order for the All Madden Edition, which is also packed with several other rewards.

While the worldwide Madden 23 release date is set for Friday, August 19, 2022, players with Early Access can hop in three days early.

That means that the Madden 23 Early Access release date will officially be Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

As for the time of day, listings on the PlayStation Store confirm a Midnight ET launch, which for clarity would make the game available at 11pm CT on Monday, August 15, 2022.

There have been deployment issues in the past from EA that caused delays with launch, but we're hopeful things will arrive as expected.

How to preload Madden 23 before launch

If you wanna play as soon as things go live, you'll wanna make sure Madden 23 has been properly installed ahead of that launch.

Players on Xbox should have the easiest time with this, as you can use the Xbox app to preload the game right now even if they haven't placed a pre order.

Make sure you've set your console to allow the app to initiate downloads, and you can find Madden 23 within the app right now and hit "Download to Console" as seen below.

You'll have to make sure you have enough space on your console, and it can take a moment for the download to initiate, but we've confirmed it's already working.

As of now, the download size for Madden 23 on Xbox Series X|S is just 46.14 GB, which is down from the 61 GB file size last year.

However, it's possible that size could increase with a Day One Patch delivered around launch time and may vary on other platforms.

As for players on other platforms, the preload times have not yet been confirmed, but check your platform store on Monday to see if you can start downloading.
