Ark 2 - Release Date and Everything we Know

Ark 2 will be one of the defining games of the survival genre when it drops, much like its predecessor. Coming to Xbox as a timed exclusive, and PS5 down the line, the graphics and gameplay will be bigger and better than ever.

Ark 2 Release Date

We don't have an exact release date for Ark 2 just yet, we only know it has been pushed to 2023. The original release window was set to be 2022 when the game was announced at the 2020 game awards. Unfortunately, though, covid has caused unforeseen delays.

We're expecting the sequel to release in the first half of 2023, but we will have to wait for confirmation from Studio Wildcard on a release window. In the meantime, fans can still play Ark: Survival Evolved for free on steam, if you're looking for a taster of what's to come.

Ark 2 Vin Diesel and Cast

Fans are getting quite the treat of a celebrity cameo in the new sequel, as Studio Wildcard has announced Vin Diesel as the main character. He will be starring as the hero character, Santiago, who fans will be playing as in the upcoming title.

For those checking in on the story, Santiago will be a clone of the Ark: Survival Evolved Player Character, Santiago da Costa. Vin Diesel is reportedly a huge fan of the franchise, having logged over 1000 hours in the original game, and planning the same for Ark 2.

Fans will be able to learn a lot more about Santiago's character when he crosses over in the upcoming TV Show. Ark: The Animated Series is set to launch in 2022, and stars big names like Gerard Butler and Elliot Page.
