Deathloop's Announcement
The game was originally announced over two years ago at E3 2019. It was introduced with a wonderfully weird trailer filled with madmen, the introduction of the loop, and the duality of the two central characters.
Looking back, years later, so many little ideas make sense. Where Colt, the main character, wants to break the loop, Julianna wants it to remain. You play the clash between these opposing forces.
Release Date
Deathloop officially launches on September 14th. After two years of waiting, the day is finally here.
Over the next day, you could preorder the game, read about it and get it all ready to go. For this, you may want to know what time you can actually play it.
Deathloop Release Time
On PlayStation, the game is set to go live at midnight in your time zone. This, unfortunately, means that parts of the world will get the game much earlier than others but it also means you can prep for your own individual midnight launch.
Over on Steam, the game is also set to go live at midnight but, occasionally, it launches a little earlier for those in pacific time. If this is the case, you may be able to play by around 9 pm PT the night beforehand.
Platforms
As of right now, the game is only planned for release on two major platforms. You can play it on PlayStation 5 ( it won't arrive on PS4) as of tomorrow.
If PC is more your kind of thing, you can pick it up on Steam too.
Deathloop on Xbox Game Pass?
Now that Arkane and Bethesda are under the Xbox umbrella, you may be wondering why it's not arriving on Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass for PC. This is because Arkane signed an exclusivity deal before they were purchased.
This all being said, we will likely see Deathloop hit Xbox Game Pass next year when the timed exclusivity runs out. If you can stomach the wait, you may be able to save a little bit of money.
Download Size
As of right now, Deathloop is coming in at 27.98GB on PlayStation 5 and we're expecting a similar size over on PC. Although fairly small, you may still have to delete something to make room on that base PS5 storage.
