Deathloop, Arkane's stylish new timed exclusive, is finally arriving on PlayStation in just over a week. This leaves a few lingering questions after Microsoft's purchase of Bethesda. Luckily, it seemed they were keeping the deal Arkane made with Sony to bring it exclusively to the PS5 for some time. Here is all you need to know about whether Deathloop is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

PlayStation Release Date

Deathloop is set to go live on PS5 on September 14, so there's not long to wait. This comes after years of teases and tonnes of trailers.

It even got its own dedicated PlayStation State of Play in July to go over some of the game's intricate systems.

Deathloop Xbox Release Date Latest

Luckily, we got some news about when Deathloop could come to Xbox consoles. At the end of the official gameplay walkthrough, we received a short message declaring Deathloop a console exclusive. This was followed by an asterisk.

Under that, it said "also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 09/14/22, exactly one year from its release date." This means, if they want to, Xbox could release the game exactly one year after the PlayStation launch.

Given their relationship with Arkane and Bethesda, theres a good chance we will see it launch exactly on this date. If not, we could see a special definite edition launch on Xbox like PlayStation did with Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Will It Come to Game Pass?

At this point, it seems almost certain that Deathloop will launch into Xbox Game Pass if it launches on Xbox. At this moment, every Xbox exclusive title is currently planning for a Game Pass launch and even tonnes of nonexclusive games are making their way to the service.

Although it may come a year later, for the base price of Xbox Game Pass, it will be a hard game to say no to.
