Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 has brought with it a sea of change, including some brand new Sideways weapons. Here's how to add them to your arsenal.
You'll need to know where to find them in order to complete the Cube Queen quests in the Battle Pass. You must accquire a Sideways weapon and hold onto it for 5 different storm cycles (across multiple games if necessary).
Sideways Rifle and Sideways Minigun Arrive in Season 8
In Fortnite Season 8, the Sideways Rifle and the Sideways Minigun have arrived! These weapons have the added bonus of a superpowered state. When they are close to overheating, they’ll deal extra damage to your enemies - making them especially dangerous in the right hands!
The miniguns since Fortnite Chapter 2, are a very powerful weapon. These sideways weapons are even more deadly - but they are located in a dangerous place as well.
Where to Find Sideways Weapons
The Sideways is a very risky location in Fortnite. Once you enter, you probably don't want to stick around for too long. Make sure that before you leave, however, you grab the Sideways Rifle, Sideways Mini Gun, and the Cube Monster Parts along the way.
In the Sideways Zones, these weapons are floor loot. However, you will also get them from Sideways Chest; the one that glows with a Purple color. A common place is the Center of Sideways, near the tall spire.
Bear in mind that the Sideways changes location each match - so you'll have to be vigilant and keep an eye out to find it first!
Sideways Anomaly
Another way to find the Sideways Rifle and the Sideways Minigun is entering in the Sideways Anomaly, by defeating waves of Cube Monsters.
Nonetheless, this is probably the hardest way to get them. You will need with you a good amount of weapons to succeed.
Cube Monsters
Defeating Cube Monsters will reward players with Cube Monster Parts; the crafting material collectible in this Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8.
If you have enough Cube Monster Parts and a weapon that can be upgraded, a notification above the weapon will let you know.
This material will upgrade any of the Sideways weapons. If you gather enough of these, you’ll be able to upgrade any Sideways weapons to be even more effective.
It is a big prize with a great risk, as the Sideways crowd is very hostile.
