Fortnite is coming back to the iPhone thanks to NVIDIA GeForce Now

Fortnite first took over gaming with a big push from its mobile playerbase. Since a conflict with Apple, however, one leading to Fortnite's removal from the App Store, players have had to play the popular battle royale elsewhere.

That is until now.

Thanks to NVIDIA GeForce, iPhone users can finally drop back into Fortnite with touch inputs that are mobile-friendly.

Fortnite Returns to the iPhone

Fortnite is finally back on the iPhone thanks to a clever workaround from NVIDIA GeForce. This new program will allow players to play console games from their GeFORCE NOW library on mobile devices.

With this, players can bring back Epic Games' mega-hit to their Apple devices for the first time since its App Store removal in 2020.

NVIDIA GeForce isn't quite to its final form just yet, and the new touch control system will be tested first with a closed beta period for Fortnite.

That means only a certain amount of players will be able to get into the battle royale for now, though the project's progress points to a full-scale launch not far off in the future.

To sign up for the new Fortnite Closed Beta, start here, and click Join Waitlist. This is only possible after creating an NVIDIA account, however. Once this is done, you'll need to sign up for a GeForce NOW membership, and from there, you'll have your chance at the Closed Beta.

While NVIDIA GeForce's streaming capabilities hold a ton of potential for gamers on their mobile devices, Fortnite is the first step for testing its mobile control scheme, and for many, the most important function NVIDIA GeForce Now offers is bringing back Epic Games' crown jewel to Apple devices.
