GTA Online hasn't had a major story update in some time, but now a big one is headed our way just in time for the holidays. Los Santos Drug Wars might not sound like the most festive theme, but we're sure it will leave fans feeling like it's Christmas morning.
Starting very soon, you'll be able to head straight to Blaine County and join up with old pal Nervous Ron and a new band of out-of-state misfits. Here's everything you need to know about the update and how to download it.

LATEST - Update Out
The Los Santos Drug Wars update is live now on Xbox and comes in at over 13GB! We knew this would be a slightly larger update but the file size still comes as a surprise.
The update should drop on PC and PS5 soon but there shouldn't be too much difference in the file size between all three platforms.

Los Santos Drug Wars and the full update will drop for all platforms on December 13th, so there's not long to wait. We expect that the update will drop at around 2 am PST / 5 am EST / 10 am GMT on the day, as is the usual time frame for GTA Online updates.
The update pack will feature tons of new content, including a new business enterprise to operate, new vehicles and missions, and experiential upgrades. This is all in addition to the new two-part update to the story mode.
There's lots more to be excited about as the festive period approaches, including more story and gameplay updates. Several GTA Online events will seal the deal and make this one of the most exciting additions to Los Santos in some time.
How to Download Los Santos Drug Wars
The likelihood is your console will have downloaded the update when it goes live, but if that's not the case there's an easy fix. Head to your store and the GTA V page, and you'll be able to download the update or use the check for update function on PlayStation.
