Multiversus Season 1 Release Date, Battle Pass, & More

Multiversus is coming back on 28 May 2024, and players can't wait to be able to play the highly acclaimed fighting game once again.

With many iconic characters and a new PvE mode, Multiversus promises to return better than ever.

However, many players are wondering if the game will maintain the Season system and introduce a Battle Pass once the title launches, or if that idea was scrapped after the community's backlash.

Multiversus Season 1

As of this writing, there is no confirmation that Multiversus will maintain the Seasons system and introduce a new Battle Pass when the game returns.

The Multiversus Season system and its Battle Pass received many negative comments from the community. Many claimed the Battle Pass was too hard to complete, while others didn't like that some characters could only be acquired via a DLC.

Unsurprisingly, players are rising against microtransactions in video games, especially ones that are supposed to be free-to-play.

So if the Multiversus Season system comes back, it must be in a different format, at least if it doesn't want to provoke the community's rage.

But if the season system returns, what can we expect from the new Battle Pass? We have a good idea.

Multiversus Season 1 Battle Pass

We expect the Season 1 Battle Pass to go live as the game launches, to include 50 tiers, and cost around $9.99, as all the previous Multiversus Battle Passes had this format.

However, we don't expect to see content, especially characters, behind a paywall, as we don't think Player First Game and Warner Bros. will make the same mistake twice.

Hopefully, the Multiversus Season 1 Battle Pass will introduce plenty of entertaining missions and challenges and reward players tremendously. These rewards will probably be skins, emotes, and characters.

Player First Game and Warner Bros have a great chance at writing their wrongs and delivering a Battle Pass full of great content that helps keep the game fresh, but that isn't incredibly hard to complete.

But only time will tell if that is the case or if the old Battle Pass system will return.
