One of the most anticipated games of this year is New World!

To get involved early, you'll need to get a spot in the New World closed beta.

Here's how to register for the beta, as well as everything you need to know about Amazon's massive new MMORPG.

New World Release Date, Platforms

New World is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) from Amazon Games. It was originally scheduled for release in May of last year.

Now, however, after some delays, New World's release date is August 31st, 2021.

Players also have a chance to try the game early, however, thanks to the New World closed beta.

How to Register for the Closed Beta

Currently, the closed beta version is now live. Here's how you can become one of the New World testers and be able to experience the game before the actual drop.

The New World closed beta started July 20th, and it will end on August 2nd. Servers are available for players in North America, Europe, Australia and Brazil.

There are two ways you can get access and register for the New World closed beta:

  • Sign up through a dedicated page for volunteer testers
  • Pre-order a copy of the game from Steam or Amazon

Amazon has established they will give access to random groups of testers throughout the beta, so if you haven't already, go ahead and sign up now! Also, watch out for an email inviting you to participate at some point during the event.

If you bought a copy of New World through Amazon before July 17th, you will get an invite to the beta on July 19th--the day before it goes live. Keys purchased through Amazon at a later date ensures access to the beta within 48 hours of your order confirmation.

If you preordered New World on Steam, you’ll automatically receive access to the testing session through a “New World Closed Beta” program that will appear in your Steam library.

PC System Requirements

Amazon’s MMO experience will be PC-only, and can be accessed through Steam. You also have the option to purchase Steam keys directly from Amazon.
