It's official, the TopSpin franchise is back with TopSpin 2K25! 2K has resurrected the once-great franchise for a new era 13 years after its last edition was released.
The popular sports franchise is making a grand return to the delight of tennis fans around the world. TopSpin 2K25 delivers an immersive gaming experience and many already consider it to be the best Tennis game of the last decade.

TopSpin 2K25 Release Date
2K surprised everyone when they teased the return of TopSpin back in January. The reveal had the whole tennis world talking.
TopSpin 2K25 was released on 26 April 2024 and is available on PS4 & PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
TopSpin 2K25 Early Access
As is typical with 2K titles, and sports games in general, there are three different editions and some come with early access.
If you buy the Deluxe Edition or the Grand Slam Edition you will get three days early access. That means you can start your road to tennis glory on 23 April 2024.
Price & Editions
Of course, those editions will come at an additional cost. The Standard Edition will set you back £59.99 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and £64.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The Deluxe Edition comes in at £84.99 on all platforms. It comes with those three days of early access, the Under the Lights Pack, plus the New Wave Pack which features alternate outfits for Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Świątek, and Francis Tiafoe. You also get a collection of additional apparel and the Rookie Rise Pack which features a MyPlayer Boost and 1700 VC.
Finally, the Grand Slam Edition will set you back a whopping £109.99 on all platforms. This comes with everything in the Deluxe Edition plus:

- All Access Pass
- Six post-launch Premium Centre Court Pass Seasons
- Eight bonus cosmetic items
Additional information about the Premium Centre Court Pass will be revealed soon. We expect it to include more historic stars you can play with and likely additional venues too.
TopSpin 2K25 Cover Stars
The cover stars of the game include five tennis stars featuring across the trio of editions.
There are some familiar faces, with Roger Federer and Serena Williams gracing both the Standard Edition and Grand Slam Editions. The Deluxe Edition has some more contemporary players on it though. Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, and Francis Tiafoe feature here.

Tennis fans are in for a much-deserved treat after having to wait 13 years for the return of TopSpin, with the new Tennis game being a very exciting one!

Tournaments, Venues and Gameplay Features
2K announced the list of officially licensed tournaments and venues that will feature in TopSpin 2K25 a few weeks before the game launch.
A total of 48 courts, including hard courts, grass, and clay, are available, offering unique challenges and animations. Meanwhile, outdoor venues offer three different times of day to play, including night-time matches.

Alongside the tournaments and venues, 2K also introduced new features.
During the first episode of the TopSpin 2K25 Centre Court Report, an all-new Timing Meter was introduced, which indicates the best time to release the shot button.
Players who master the all-new Timing Meter will learn how to hit perfect forehands, backhands, and serves at the TopSpin Academy with Tennis legend John McEnroe, and get creative with their rallies to beat the competition.
New signature player animations, unique court physics, improved serves, and much more were also discussed as developers offered an overview of the gameplay mechanics that give TopSpin 2K25 a real tennis feel.
TopSpin 2K25 Roster
The TopSpin 2K25 roster is composed of 25 Tennis stars of the present and the past. It has iconic names such as Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, and Serena Williams.
At the same time, it also includes up-and-coming superstars such as Carlos Alcaraz, Coco Gauff, and Emma Raducanu.
Unfortunately, the TopSpin 2K25 roster is quite small, and this has been the biggest criticism of the game.
Players such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and other ATP top 10 players aren't a part of the game roster at launch, which is quite disappointing
However, more players are expected to be added to the game in future updates.
