Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Lineup advice for July 6, 2018

Friday is a full slate, but we don't quite have a full contest thanks to the early start between the Reds and Cubs. Still, the other 28 teams are all in play for DFS players today, and with a number of strong pitching options it is a great day to find value and make some profit. Who should be in your lineup?

Mike Foltynewicz @ Milwaukee Brewers ($10,500)

With Chris Sale, Jacob deGrom, Lance McCullers, and Carlos Carrasco all available today, the thought of not playing one is kind of crazy, until to see that Sale is $14k, deGrom is $13k, and how cheap Folty is in comparison.

The Braves ace has been electric this season, putting together the kind of performances that were hoped of when he was drafted in the first round by Houston in 2010. He has posted a 2.02 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, and a 10.8 K/9. That is outstanding. He comes into today on the back of a 30.9-point game against the Cardinals and is a potentially contest winning pick today.

Zack Godley Vs. San Diego Padres ($8,600)

Godley hasn't been great of late. His last 20+ point game was on June 16, and his last outing was a -4 against the Giants. He has had a real problem with walks this season, which has ballooned his ERA and WHIP this year, but he is still striking out a hitter per inning and has one of the best matchups possible today.

German Marquez @ Seattle Mariners ($5,800)

Marquez may be sitting on a 5.14 ERA and 1.44 WHIP, but on the road he is a totally different pitcher. His ERA is a beautiful 2.76 on the road, and his WHIP is 1.00, while he has more than a strikeout per inning too. In his last three road games he has averaged 24.6 points, which is amazing at this price point.

Aaron Hicks @ Toronto Blue Jays ($4,900)

Hicks is red hot of late, with five homers and 11 hits in his last 10 games. He also picked up his seventh steal of the season last night on his way to 11 points. With Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton taking a lot of the spotlight, Hicks has flown under the radar, but an average of 12.7 in the last 10 games at under $5k is really nice.

Yuli Gurriel Vs. Chicago White Sox ($4,200)

Gurriel is rarely among the best first baseman in the league, but at this price and with his recent form he is worth a shot today. He has 12 hits, including three homers, in his last 10 games and has averaged 10.8 points per game in his last 10. With the likes of Freddie Freeman struggling at the moment, Gurriel represents solid value today.

Johan Camargo @ Milwaukee Brewers ($3,700)

The Braves third baseman has been hot of late, hitting .333 in his last 10 games with two homers and six RBI. That's good for 8.5 points per game over that time frame, an excellent return for this price. He is coming off a goose egg last night, which snapped a nine-game hit streak, so look for him to get back on track today.
