MLB The Show 21 Early Access

As MLB The Show 21 drew closer, many players were excited to get their hands on the game four days early with early access.

To get MLB The Show 21 early access, you can preorder the Jackie Robinson Edition, Jackie Robinson Deluxe Edition, or the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

Xbox Game Pass gets The Show on day one

While some players are hoping to start on MLB The Show 21 even earlier than launch day, subscribers to Xbox Game Pass won't have to wait nearly as long for the game as most had expected.

MLB The Show 21 is officially going to join the Xbox Game Pass lineup on day one, meaning subscribers get it at launch on April 20, 2021.

This is huge news for anyone who planned to get the standard edition on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, and a great way to save and still enjoy The Show.

MLB The Show 21 Editions

We now know that there will be four different editions of MLB The Show 21, with Jackie Robinson chosen to grace the cover of the non-standard editions.

These editions are the MLB The Show 21: Standard Edition, the MLB The Show 21: Jackie Robinson Edition, the MLB The Show 21: Digital Deluxe Edition, and the MLB The Show 21: Jackie Robinson Deluxe Edition.

While you'll only get a few in-game bonuses if you pre order the Standard Edition, players who pre order any of the three other editions of MLB The Show 21 will be able to get four days early access.

That means you'll be able to play as soon as April 16, 2021 if you pre order one of the non-standard editions of MLB The Show 21.

Those who have pre-ordered MLB The Show 21 can get playing immediately!

Getting in early also comes with perks, including Diamond Choice Packs.

There have been some teething issues with the San Diego Studio title, with the MLB The Show official Twitter account stating the team are working on any problems.

Closed Access Beta

MLB The Show 21 invited some players to take part in what they called a Tech Test, which was essentially a closed access beta version of the game.

The closed beta lasted from February 23 to March 1, and has now ended for those who were able to be a part of it.

However, the good news is that it appears to have been a success, and the beta provided developers with crucial feedback to improve the title ahead of launch day.
