Real MLB players get 99 OVR cards in Diamond Dynasty

MLB The Show 21 is available now via Early Access, and that means many are already diving into the Ultimate Team mode known as Diamond Dynasty.

Among those are actual MLB players, and we now know that all MLB players are getting exclusive 99 Overall versions of themselves with this new card series.

MLB athletes get The Real 99 Series in Diamond Dynasty

This exclusive new card series was revealed on Twitter after Sterling Sharp posted a shot of his exclusive 99 OVR card in Diamond Dynasty.

"The Real" can be seen on the card art, and will likely be the main aesthetic theme that continues throughout this card series.

Now revealed as The Real 99 Series, this exclusive 1-of-1 program is only for MLB athletes themselves, and these aren't cards that other players will have access to.

Play Early Access to challenge real MLB players in MLB The Show 21

If you want a chance to actually square off with an MLB player in MLB The Show 21, the best shot is to get in on Early Access.

The game went live on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 12am ET, but players who haven't yet pre ordered still have time.

If you pre order MLB The Show 21 now and get the Jackie Robinson Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition, you'll be able to take advantage of Early Access right away.

If you'd rather wait for launch day, the game will be available on April 20, 2021, and that release date is also the same time it will land on Xbox Game Pass.
