MLB The Show 22: All-Stars program start date, league rosters confirmed

MLB The Show 22 is ready to embrace the 2022 All-Star experience and that includes an upcoming featured program in Diamond Dynasty.

Here's everything we know so far about the All-Star program coming to MLB The Show 22 and some of the cards fans can expect in Diamond Dynasty.

MLB The Show 22: All-Star Program Start & End Date

Right now we're heading into the final stages of Sizzling Summer for MLB The Show 22, and that means a new featured program is waiting in the wings to replace it.

While a specific program name has not been confirmed, we do know via the in-game MLB The Show 22 schedule that the All-Star Program is now less than a week away.

As seen below, the 2022 All-Stars featured program is scheduled to begin at Noon PT on Monday, July 18, 2022.

We don't yet have a confirmed end date for the 2022 All-Stars program, but we should get an idea once it's clear how many bosses will be included.

These details may not arrive until the day of the program, but any early reveals for bosses should help us determine how long the program is expected to last.

On top of that, we know that same-night content after the Home Run Derby and MLB All-Star Game are already expected.

MLB 2022 All-Stars Rosters Confirmed

While we don't yet know which cards will be available in the All-Star program for Diamond Dynasty, the pool which many will be selected from is now confirmed.

Following two rounds of voting, the 2022 MLB All-Star roster has been officially announced by the league.

We can't expect every single member of the All-Star rosters to get a card in this new featured program, and some of the most exciting names will likely be held back for the same-night content drops.

Huge assets in Diamond Dynasty like Trout, Ohtani, or Acuna probably won't be chosen as the standard program bosses, but many of the other names could be.

While we'll likely see All-Stars as bosses, the 2022 All-Stars card series is likely to also include separate packs and cards that may only be unlockable via Events or other challenges.

Without further ado, here are the starting lineups for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game and some of the players we could see get new Diamond Dynasty cards:

AL All-Star Game Starting Lineup

  • C - Alejandro Kirk, TOR (1st All-Star selection)
  • 1B - Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays
  • 2B - Jose Altuve, Houston Astros

It's worth noting that Contreras was an alternate selection as vote winner Bryce Harper has a fractured left thumb and won't be able to compete.

2022 All-Star Game Pitchers (AL & NL)

Finally, we have a large selection of pitchers across both the National League and American League that could receive cards in the All-Star program:

  • Paul Blackburn, Oakland Athletics
  • Emmanuel Clase, Cleveland Guardians

  • Nestor Cortes, New York Yankees

  • Jorge Lopez, Baltimore Orioles

  • Josh Hader, Milwaukee Brewers

We'll have to wait and find out which of these players is chosen, and one likely factor will be whether they've recently received powerful cards in Diamond Dynasty.

All of these names are also in the running for a ratings boost in the final roster update before the All-Star break, and we've got more details here on how to get your investments in place.
