MLB The Show 22: What should you do in Diamond Dynasty this week?

MLB The Show 22 Diamond Dynasty is constantly delivering new content, new cards, and new ways to unlock it all.

With the first Featured Program nearing an end, we've got details on everything you should do in Diamond Dynasty this week.

MLB The Show 22 Diamond Dynasty Weekly Schedule

There's never any shortage of new Diamond Dynasty content in MLB The Show 22, and with the MLB season now rolling we've already got some exciting new additions on the way.

In addition to new content, it's always good to keep an eye on which content is set to expire and how long you have left to knock things out.

With some solid 90+ Diamond rewards up for grabs across Diamond Dynasty, there are definitely some you don't want to miss out on.

Before we get to the key focal points this week, here's the Diamond Dynasty Content Release Schedule for the week of April 18, 2022:

  • April 19: Astros Program for Nike City Connect uniform
  • April 19: Battle Royale Program 2 begins, Hidden Legend among three new rewards
  • April 21: Parallel Paradise Event ends
  • April 21: Moonshot Weekend Event (Common pitchers vs. any hitters) begins
  • April 21: Double XP activated through the weekend
  • April 22: Projected arrival of Topps Now Week 2 and Roster Update (unconfirmed)

You can find more details here about the ongoing Diamond Dynasty Schedule.

Play the Parallel Paradise Event before it ends

With a new Event just around the corner, that also means that time is running out to earn rewards in the current one.

As of now, Parallel Paradise is set to conclude on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at approximately 11am PT.

TICK TOCK: You're almost out of time to snag these rewards

That leaves players only a few more days to try and rack up wins for Rookie Honus Wagner and Prime Steve Cishek, both 90+ Diamonds.

Sign up for the MLB The Show Scouting Report

If you haven't done so already, make sure to take a moment to sign up for the MLB The Show Scouting Report.

While you'll get some emails from Sony San Diego about new content, it's really to get the benefit of the Scouting Report Reward Pack each month.

If you miss the deadline to grab April's Pack, still make sure to sign up so you're set to get the free pack every other month moving forward.

Complete Week 1 Topps Now & Daily Moments

Now that the first Topps Now Moments have arrived to kickoff the April Monthly Awards Program, players have to keep in mind more will always be on the way.

For players that have time, it's a good habit to go ahead and knockout the Topps Now Moments as quickly as possible so that they don't build up over the next few weeks.

DAILY MOMENTS: Each day brings a new moment, and you'll have 3 to complete them

Also make sure to hit your Daily Moments, which can be found in the Faces of the Franchise Featured Program, and each is only available for three days.

Invest ahead of the first major Roster Update

We don't yet have confirmation on when the first major ratings changes will hit in the MLB The Show 22 Roster Update, but are projecting it may land as soon as Friday, April 22, 2022.

With that arrival time or even a future one in mind, it's time to start hunting for players in Diamond Dynasty you feel may be playing better than their Live Series card reflects.

Investing in multiples of players you think will get a ratings boost is a risk, but it's one that can payoff big time if the Roster Update goes your way.

Use Double XP once activated for the Featured Program

Finally, be sure to remember that Double XP is set to activate for the Featured Program on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Noon PT.

That means players will be able to earn Double Gameplay XP for the duration, and it's expected to be on through the weekend and possibly even into Monday morning.

This will also be the final weekend before Faces of the Franchise concludes on Friday, April 29, 2022, at which point this program will go away and progress will be reset for the new one with different rewards.
