MLB The Show 22 adds Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer to Legends Roster

MLB The Show 22 continues to drop a new name for their Legends Roster each week, and this time the spotlight turns towards the Boston Red Sox.

With an already star-studded Legends Roster in place, things are only getting more exciting as this Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer will join MLB The Show 22.

MLB The Show 22 adds Kevin Youkilis to Legends Roster

After plenty of speculation like we tend to get after each week's teaser, there was one name popping up in predictions that turned out to be spot on for the next MLB The Show 22 addition.

Kevin Youkilis will officially join the game, and it's a big pickup for any Boston Red Sox fans or people who remember the Boston Red Sox absolutely wiping the floor with the Colorado Rockies in the 2007 World Series.

They set the tone in the very first game of the series, and Kevin Youkilis was a huge factor as his five at bats turned into 3 runs, 2 hits, 2 doubles, 1 walk, and 1 RBI.

The Rockies managed to hold their own in game two and neutralize Youkilis for the series, but the damage had already been done and the Red Sox took 10-5 and 4-3 wins in games three and four to win the championship.

While that was no doubt the highlight of his career, Youkilis was also a 3-time All-Star in subsequent seasons, the 2007 Gold Glove Award winner, the 2008 AL Hank Aaron Award winner, and he was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2018.

After a few final one-year seasons with the White Sox, Yankees, and even the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan, Kevin Youkilis retired from baseball in October of 2014

Kevin Youkilis will be shown in action during the next Feature Premiere

While we've only gotten a glimpse of the in-game model for Kevin Youkilis in MLB The Show 22, fans will get to actually see him in action very soon.

Each week Sony San Diego delivers news about new features coming to this year's game with a Feature Premiere, and the next one turns the focus on Franchise Mode and March to October.

This comes despite the fact that Franchise Mode had originally been absent from the Feature Premiere Schedule, but it was recently added without much fanfare.

It's not clear how many new features will actually be coming or whether the focus will turn more towards March to October, but fans can at least look forward to seeing Youkilis in action.
