One recent release by Sony San Diego confirmed they were holding back an extra week as to time the next full ratings shifting MLB The Show 22 roster update with the impending All-Star Break.

However, even this smaller set of changes did bring some news with 18 different players seeing their ratings adjust this time including a few Common players that are now Bronze tier in Diamond Dynasty.

Here are all 18 players with ratings changes in the July 8 MLB The Show 22 roster update:

  • Josh Fleming - 71 OVR (+4) - Tampa Bay Rays
  • Vince Velasquez - 70 OVR (+5) - Chicago White Sox
  • Austin Voth - 70 OVR (+3) - Baltimore Orioles
  • Drew Strotman - 68 OVR (+5) - Minnesota Twins
  • Josh Winckowski - 68 OVR (+5) - Boston Red Sox
  • Christopher Sanchez - 68 OVR (+5) - Philadelphia Phillies
  • Miguel Yajure - 64 OVR (+5) - Pittsburgh Pirates
  • Spencer Howard - 64 OVR (+1) - Texas Rangers
  • Jake Woodford - 63 OVR (+6) - St. Louis Cardinals
  • Drew Hutchison - 62 OVR (+7) - Detroit Tigers

From the above players, we saw a jump to Bronze status for Strotman, Winckowski, and Sanchez from their previous Common tier.

In addition to these small ratings shifts, we also saw a group of new players join MLB The Show 22 in Diamond Dynasty as Live Series cards for the first time this year.

Among the most exciting is definitely Korey Lee who was recently called up by the Astros, and he was featured in the Future of the Franchise program with a Future Stars card.
