THE OKAZAKI TOUCH: Rollie Fingers was the first of four new Okazaki Series bosses revealed

Initially confirmed by the in-game calendar, the Sizzling Summer Program went live in MLB The Show 22 on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Noon PT.

It's similar in size and length to the Spring Cleanup program we saw earlier this year, though Sizzling Summer is a hair shorter and changed the bosses up a bit.

We've also now got confirmation that the Sizzling Summer program has an end date of Monday, July 18, 2022 at Noon PT.

This will be the first, and likely only, time that a featured program swap happens on a Monday, as the new 2022 All-Stars program will go into place just before the game itself takes place.

Sizzling Summer bosses and content revealed

We've usually seen in previous programs that only some of the top-notch prizes go to each player, but they've changed things up a bit with Sizzling Summer.

Like the Spring Cleanup program there are five bosses, but four of them are in Takashi Okazaki packs via the reward track and one is guaranteed for any player who reaches a certain XP threshold.

They've combined the strategies of the Halladay & Friends program and others here, so players will be able to unlock two of the four Okazaki bosses along with the Prime Fernando Valenzuela.

Diamond Flashbacks & Legends as well as Diamond Classics packs are tossed in this time, and they've added quite a bit of equipment which should help with Collections.

Players can earn up to 750,000 XP in this featured program, and here are some of the top rewards you'll be able to earn:

  • 10,000 XP: Diamond Flashbacks & Legends Choice Pack
  • 30,000 XP: Diamond Classics Choice Pack
  • 55,000 XP: Diamond Flashbacks & Legends Choice Pack
  • 70,000 XP: Diamond Classics Choice Pack
  • 90,000 XP: Diamond Flashbacks & Legends Choice Pack
  • 120,000 XP: Diamond Classics Choice Pack
  • 250,000 XP: Sizzling Summer Bosses Choice Pack
  • 300,000 XP: Prime Fernando Valenzuela (96 OVR)
