FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Daily Picks: Fantasy lineup & advice 11/3/17

PG - D’Angelo Russell, Brooklyn Nets @ Los Angeles Lakers

After a couple of down performances upon returning from a knee injury, D’Angelo Russell finally looked back to his best against the Phoenix Suns as he put up a season-high 33 points with six rebounds and four assists in a losing effort.

Russell has had a couple days off since that game to rest up and get ready for his homecoming against the Los Angeles Lakers, who traded him this offseason. Apart from the fact that he’ll be well-rested, Russell will also have the benefit of facing a Lakers team which is giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards on the second night of a back-to-back.

Kyle Lowry (11 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists), Ricky Rubio (21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 3-pointers), Reggie Jackson (18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), and Damian Lillard (32 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) have all burned the Lakers in their last four games, and Russell has a strong chance of joining that list.

SG - Victor Oladipo, Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers

After topping 40 fantasy points three times in his first five games of the season, Victor Oladipo has fallen a bit back down to earth. However, he did show signs of getting back to his best with 23 points on 5 3-pointers and 7 assists against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs are a notoriously generous team in terms of giving up big games to opposing wings, and Dipo’s opponents for tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers, are in the same boat. The Sixers are coughing up the most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season, which will be promising for Oladipo’s chances of producing another big-time performance tonight.

SF - LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers @ Washington Wizards

The Cavs are slumping badly to start the season. They have now lost four games in a row, which includes back-to-back blowout home losses to the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers, and are in danger of dropping a fifth when they visit the Washington Wizards.

They could very well suffer a fifth-straight defeat in DC tonight, but don’t expect LeBron James to let it happen without a fight. James tried his best to rescue the Cavs against the Pacers as he put up 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 11 assists in a losing effort.

Expect James to come out with a similar all-guns-blazing effort against a Wizards team that is not great at defending opposing wings, and one that just surrendered 40 points to Phoenix Suns small forward TJ Warren.

PF - Domantas Sabonis, Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers

Domas Sabonis is showing no signs of slowing down. The Pacers big man put up another impressive game with 15 points, 12 boards, and 6 assists in the Pacers’ big win over the Cavs. With Myles Turner still doubtful to return from his concussion against the Sixers tonight, Sabonis is set to continue getting big minutes in the middle for the Pacers.

That’s excellent news for him as he’s set to go up against a Sixers team that’s giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing big men this season. Both teams will be intent on playing a fast pace all game long, which should only benefit Sabonis, who has been gobbling up the rebounds this season. He’s had six straight games of double-digit rebounds, a streak which should remain intact if he gets enough minutes against the Sixers.

C - Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic vs Chicago Bulls

Nikola Vucevic had easily his least productive game against the Memphis Grizzlies as he put up just seven points and five rebounds in 32 minutes. However, consider it a bit of an anomaly from Vooch, who averaged 20.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and nearly 2 3-pointers per game last month.

Vooch also possesses a lot of upside by virtue of the fact that he’ll be up against the struggling Bulls, who have no idea how to handle opposing big men. Chicago are giving up the most fantasy points to opposing centers this season, giving Vucevic the perfect opportunity to bounce back from his rare off night.
