Cleveland will have a very different approach this upcoming season as it looks to find its footing after the departure of LeBron James. Whether the Cavaliers decide to continue their attempts to compete behind the efforts of Kevin Love or start a rebuild behind Collin Sexton is yet to be seen, but that pre-season decision could easily be changed depending on how their first month or so of season play goes.
As the team looks to replace the production left behind by King James, the current starting lineup should march out to face opponents in NBA 2K19.
Starting Lineup
Collin Sexton, PG (OVR 76)

Age: 19
Height: 6’3”
Traits: Athletic Playmaker
Best Attributes: Ball Handling, Speed, Acceleration
A fresh rookie picked up just this year, the Young Bull is hoping to live up to his name from college. Although rated a bit lower than other rookies coming in, many are hoping he will lift the team up after the departure of LeBron James.
George Hill, SG (OVR 76)

Age: 32
Height: 6’3”
Traits: All-Around Point Guard
Best Attributes: Vertical, Ball Handling, Lateral Quickness
One of the older members of the NBA league, George Hill has not seen the most impressive scores and numbers over the years. After playing with Indiana and Utah, as well as San Antonio, he finally settled on Cleveland and will be playing his second season with them. Unfortunately, he was traded a few times in the 2017-2018 season, hopping from the Kings over to the Cavaliers, This has made his average stats extremely skewed to the not so great, with his average points around 10.0 and his assists only around 2.8 averaged. He did average close to a .450 FG%, which can be seen as decent heading into his 11th year of competition in the NBA.
Larry Nance Jr., SF (OVR 77)

Age: 25
Height: 6’9”
Traits: Rebounding Specialist
Best Attributes: Steals, Dunks, Rebounding
Although listed as a power forward, Larry Nance Jr. will most likely be starting in the small forward position. Moving into his 4th year of play, and his second with Cleveland, Larry Nance is hoping to showcase his ability in the wake of LeBron moving to the Lakers. At this rate, however, anything will be an improvement from the abysmal 8.6 points averaged, as well as 1.0 assists. His redeeming feature would be the 7.0 rebounds that he was able to average, but nothing else stands out.
Kevin Love, PF (OVR 86)

Age: 30
Height: 6’10”
Traits: Low Post Star
Best Attributes: Post Offense, Strength, Rebounding
Another old dog in the scene, Kevin Love is pushing his 11th season playing, and his 5th playing with the Cavaliers. Averaging 17.6 points last season, he also put up a high 9.3 average rebounds, and was shooting with a .458 FG%. Keep him in your sights if you want to look for a carry set for the limelight.
Tristan Thompson, C (OVR 76)

Age: 27
Height: 6’9”
Traits: Rebounding Specialist
Best Attributes: Rebounding, Specialist, Strength
Surprisingly shorter than other Centers in the NBA, Tristan Thompson rounds out the lineup for Cleveland starters. Although he only averaged 5.8 points per game in 2017-2018, he had an average 6.6 rebounds in each game, with 4.3 of those in the defensive rebound area. Don’t look for him to be making any plays, unfortunately.
