2K Saves The Day

NBA 2K21 gameplay has some frustrating elements, and most relate to cheeses from guards.

NICE TRY: 2K have picked off one of the cheesiest shots in series history

But while guard dribble move spam and other overpowered moves can be frustrating, one stood out from the bunch as completely broken.

That move is the 3PT fadeaway, which players were using to green shots in uncontestable ways.

And 2K have saved the game with the following patch note in NBA 2K21 Title Update 1.08: "Reduced the effectiveness of fading three-pointers off-the-dribble, as requested by the community."

Guard Gameplay in NBA 2K21

Guard gameplay in NBA 2K21 has always been the least realistic, with players living behind the arc and dribbling more than half of a possession's shot clock at all times.

SHOW ME YOUR MOVES...AGAIN: While guard gameplay can devolve to dribble moves, green 3PT fades were a step too far

Green fadeaways from beyond the arc pushed this far beyond reason by letting guards with enough experience green shots while fading away deep behind the arc.

When these fadeaways were greened with any regularity, they became impossible to defend, and let individual players take over games in The Park and The Rec alike.
