As we near the release date of NBA 2K22, we receive more information each day. This time, the information regards a new exclusive cover for NBA 2K22!

By exclusive, we mean, anyone outside Japan will be unlikely to get this, but you'll still be able to see it here!

Wizards standout Hachimura lands NBA 2K22 cover

Rui Hachimura, the Wizards superstar and current Olympian will get to see his image on the cover of NBA 2K22. The only thing is, this particular edition will only be available in Japan.

Much like the exclusive to North America cover featuring Candace Parker, this edition will only be available in Japan.

As you can see, the cover mirrors the same style as the US standard edition featuring Luka Doncic. It's great to see a more diverse group of cover athletes in this year's versions of NBA 2K22.

Exclusive teaser reveals more of NBA 2K22

We wouldn't have seen this cover for a while had it not been for NBA 2K22 Leaks & Intel on Twitter. The news of the cover and a teaser trailer to go along with it was released this morning.

Although the dialogue is in Japanese, we still get to see a little bit of NBA 2K22 in the teaser. Considering there hasn't been a full trailer reveal, this will have to hold us over for now.

Hachimura was a clear choice for NBA 2K22 cover

With the representation being brought to NBA 2K22, it's great to see such a diverse cast of cover athletes. Hachimura being chosen for Japan's edition of NBA 2K22 is no surprise to us.

Not only is he a standout for the Wizards but he's a great ambassador for basketball across the world. On top of all that, he's an Olympian that represented his home country Japan in the Tokyo Olympics.

As more games are created, we can only hope to see the same amount of diversity and representation that NBA 2K22 has brought thus far.
