Release Date on PS4
NBA 2K22's release date is set!
NBA 2K22 is arriving on Friday, September 10 2021, and that's a simultaneous worldwide release date for all platforms and versions of the game.
Price on PS4
Fortunately, players on PS4 will still enjoy current gen pricing as the Standard Edition will be available for just £59.99 / $59.99.
If you're hoping to eventually upgrade to PS5 and wanna save a little money without leaping to the most expensive option, you can get the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle for £74.99 / $79.99, which includes the Standard Edition for both PS4 and PS5.
Finally, you can purchase the 75th Anniversary Edition for £84.99 / $99.99, which has the most significant in-game rewards and also includes the game on both PS4 and PS5.

Current Gen Game Modes
Unfortunately, we probably won't see newly innovated game modes like The City backtrack from next-gen to current-gen.
However, we could see NBA 2K22 try to spice up existing modes like MyTEAM and MyPLAYER in order to make up for the lack of The City.
With supply still limited for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, NBA 2K22 will likely end up with significantly more players on current-gen, so 2K Sports can't neglect their current-gen improvements.
Cover athletes revealed
Tons of major news was dropped about NBA 2K22 today, including word that Luka Doncic will be this year's primary Standard Edition cover athlete.
WNBA star Candace Parker is getting an exclusive Standard Edition cover to be released only in North America through GameStop.
Lastly, the 75th Anniversary Edition brings together three iconic players with Dirk Nowitzki, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kevin Durant all on the cover.
NBA 2K22 Reveal Trailer
NBA 2K22 has revealed the first teaser trailer, and it's just our first taste of what's to come this year.
We're hoping to see a gameplay trailer and more looks at NBA 2K22 in the coming weeks, but we'll settle for a reveal trailer for now.
Hit the courts in Pro Am on PS4
Pro Am is definitely receiving more attention this year, mainly due to The City not being brought to PS4. This should convince PS4 players to focus more on MyPLAYER and Pro Am modes.
As more features are revealed, it's apparent NBA 2K22 will have to bring features to current gen players too. Especially due to how hard it is to get your hands on a next gen system.
